Forget line kills border kills are all that matters. The slow acceleration of the balls takes a bit getting used to but I thought it was fine especially since the speed boost can get you out of ticky situation. But honestly I just love bopping enemies into the wall.

How does your game fit the theme?
The circles are joined together to protect the almighty hexagon. (Which is also in the middle of the "joined together line")

I really love this game! The border kills and collision kills feel super satisfying. I'd definitely like to see this released as a mobile game. My only suggestion is that enemies can sometimes spawn directly in the path of your hexagon, giving you almost no time to react. If you could prevent enemies from spawning close to the hexagon, it would relieve a bit of frustration. Other than that, it's very fun game, great job!
Thanks!
sadly that's one issue I missed, that's because there already is a mechanic to stop enemies from spawning inside an enemy. But at the last hours of the jam, I added a triangle spawn animation, but this delays the spawn of an enemy. And since the enemy spawn animation has half a second of hard to see blue color, it ends up spawning too close to the player.
I got 110,000! Very nice game, I actually liked the speed of the circles. I think if they worked faster it'd be too easy! I found the game really fair though. It'd just be nice if there were a bit more color difference between the pieces of your character.
Thanks a lot!
the game used to use left click to drag one circle and right click for the other (and they were different colored too) but that didn't make sense to use because you wouldn't want to move both of the circles to the same spot anyways and it was confusing too, so I implemented a right click boost instead.
this is a very nice mechanic idea! Very great, although one thing is: please modify the speed of the movement, it feels a bit slow/heavy to drag the circles.
Nice game.
1, There should be music.
2, The game is a bit boring since you can make a very big line that kills most of the enemies.
Besides these, nice game.
I would be very happy if you would play my game.
really fun to play. would clearly translate into a great mobile game. the sfx were great and perfectly matched the rest of the game. i must admit i didn't realise for a while that i could control the other dot after already selecting one and not letting go. i also think the game was limited by the square boundary it was placed in - i found hitting the sides near a corner was punishing. maybe this could be improved by putting the playspace in a circle, with no corners to get my sphere thing stuck in?
anways, great fun to play, you may have created something highly addicting here
Really cool take on the games theme, and very nice sound effects! This would be excellent as a mobile game.
My only suggestions are to add some background music and maybe a few more enemies. The game over screen also shows up a bit slow, and I didn't realize it existed until after a few plays because I'd hit "r" long before it appeared.
Fantastic work overall though! This is currently my favorite game that I've seen.
Really enjoy the sound of breaking glass.
Border kill is my favourate.
This is a really cool concept, good take on the jam's theme! I'm pretty sure it's just my computer but it played at a really weird resolution so I couldn't see half of the screen unfortunately. You've got some simple but cool graphics, and I'm also impressed that you managed to get a combo system going. These physics feel great to play with, and you had some great work with the visual effects, like the post processing and particles.
Something I would suggest is making the game over screen happen a bit faster; when my thing died, I thought I got softlocked for a second because nothing was happening. It would also be beneficial to increase the arena size, as moving around felt a bit cramped and the controls more restrained. Some different enemy types would add to the gameplay as well.
Overall I really like this concept, you got some good things going here. Like what thmz said, I think this would be really cool as a mobile game. Good luck for the rest of the jam!
Very interesting idea, I like the concept.
Would love to see it as a mobile game.
Well chosen sfx by the way!
Really cool, could make use of some music, i really like the idea and i think it could def be a great mobile game, though i think the mechanic could be easliy explained without tutorial, with just few lines of text when first starting the game
Real satisfying to fling your components around, and the SFX make it all the more cleaner! Love the mechanic of switching between either ends to control where and what you're flinging at, and that adds the intensity a game like this needs.
Had a lot of fun trying to get a good high score.
This is a fun game. It really satisfying to fling triangles into the border and control both of the circles at once. Great Game best of luck
