After I got the hang of things, I kept playing to see how far I could get. Kind of addicting!
I felt like my success was kind of luck based, though. If I didn’t get enough water, the board became clogged with other ingredients and I was doomed. Sometimes you can get a lot of one or two ingredients without seeing much of the remaining one. It’s also a bit hard to tell the ingredients apart at a glance because the game is monochrome. These aren’t big issues though. With a few small changes, I think the game would be a lot easier to play!
Thank you for pointing those out! :D There will be many, many small changes and tweaks as I noticed them ever since I was playtesting this game myself. :D
Simple, but fun idea. The game would benefit, if you add tutorial at the beginning. Anyway, good job :)
Thank you, tutorials will definitely be one of my priorities now! :D
I like it! Straightforward game concept, easy to grasp and play once I understood the rules. If I have one criticism, it's that I'm not sure how much control the game has over the random spawning of ingredients. After several playthroughs, I found myself periodically ending up in positions that were impossible. Overall a good game, though!
Ah, yes! The player does seem to be less powerful because of the unbalanced RNG. Thank you for playing, and for the wonderful feedback! :D
I loved 2048!! Was very excited about the idea of a coffee induced 2048 game and you delivered! This was really cool and the graphics are just absolutely stellar! Beautiful color palette and fun concept! Great job!
Thank you very much! 2048 really is a stellar game~ >:D
Appealing art, I would have liked to see other recipes to add some complexity and variety :)
I love that suggestion! I'll keep it in mind, thank you so much! :D
Other than the at time frustrating RNG it was a fun game, well done!
It takes great luck to score better on the game lol, hopefully a better RNG is implemented soon after the jam. Thank you! :D
Tutorial can be added at the beginning of the game. But then I saw your explanation in the description :). Congrats for your good work.
Yes, I did realize it would've been better for the tutorial to pop-up by default as I work on the game. Thank you for playing! :D
The RNG could be tweaked to prioritize items you don't have yet. There were multiple times where most of the screen was filled with cream and sugar, but all I needed was one single bean.
Indeed, should be a simple fix soon. Thanks for the feedback! :D
Really interesting! The game concept is quite unique and is also fun. And the graphics are awesome as well!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D
Very nice presentation, I like how everything fits the (coffee) theme. As others have said the game is a little random, but very fun to play.
Coffee was the main point with the art, haha. Thank you! :D
I love the graphics! The rng could use some tweaking, but this is a unique take on the theme!
Thank you! : D I will definitely take care of the RNG some time.
Cool graphics and interesting reference to the theme :O
Much appreciated! >:D
Great aesthetic and cool theme. I did feel like I got wrecked by RNG a few times and it was kind of difficult to mechanics. Well done!
The RNG must be the greatest enemy after all. >:D But thank you very much! :DD
I see myself wasting hours on this game... good job
Thank you~! :D
I was confused about the collection of items, but I figured it out eventually. I like the aesthetic of your game. The mechanics are good too. Impressive!
With the lack of information of the tutorial, this game really does make you figure most of it out, my bad there haha. Thank you for playing! :D
Took me a second to figure out the controls, but pretty fun once I did! Fun idea and fits the theme.
It is pretty rewarding once you figure it out. :D Thanks for playing!
it was difficult but fun and a really interesting take on the theme
Thank you for playing! :D
The game was difficult at first, maybe some more explanation on the objective would be good. Keep it up.
That's the major flaw of the game on my list, but anyway, thank you! :D
Fun little arcade game! I think you should've shown the tutorial for people by default, as it really explained the game for me haha
The sound effects fit the game and I like the pixel-art style! Got halfway to your score until I died on accident :P
Great job!
Oh! That suggestion clicked into my head, haha. Thank you! I'd surely be changing the way I make tutorials next time. :D
Nice puzzle game. Like the take on the theme. Aesthetic is good, but not understood immediately what were the symbol. Very addictive with perhaps too randomness, but in only 2 days it's hard to balance a game. Good job.
Thank you! I'll keep in mind that game balance is another thing I'll need to work on myself. :D
