Love the art and characters, nice game!
Yay!!!
Lovely game! The dialogues and characters are so cute! The mushroom quest made me laugh XD
So glad you liked it! We can't ask more than laughter :)
Short and Sweet.
Changing music based on location was a nice touch. I also liked the art.
Nice work getting this done in 48 hours!
I'd love your feedback on my game when you get the chance!
Thanks so much! First time doing music at all, so glad you liked it!!
Will check yours out!
For such a short game, it brims with character and personality, loved it! Well done!
Such a sweet compliment! Thank you so much!
Such a cute little game, I love that each of the characters react to the different items differently.
So glad you liked it! We almost didn't have time to do all the other text, but I think it really improved it a lot!
It really did! It made me actually go back to see what other people would say about the items <3
Very great atmosphere! Loved the characters! Really nice job in this time! Congrats!
Thank you! Glad it came together for you!!!
What a nice little game! Lovely music and sound design.
Thank you so so much! First time doing music!!!! Can't recommend beepbox enough :)
Very nice and soothing :)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you!
Nice!
Thank you!
What cute characters! Especially the mushroom. A very adorable game and I like what you did with the music. A true little hidden gem amongst all the submissions. Well done!
Thank you so much for your kind words! And thank you for playing!
Such an adorable game! I was very anxious at first that this would be a nightmare to navigate the house or remember what's where, but as soon as I started moving I realized it's actually very natural, if it looks like you climb it, then you can climb it ez-pz. The dialogue was really well done and very cute and so was the music :)
There were certainly some rough edges, but the fact you got all this done in time for the jam is really impressive!
Seriously great job!
Thank you so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed the game! We tried to make it easy and silly but with some red herring clues and a lot of whimsy so I'm glad it wasn't that intimidating!
It was our first time ever making a video game and my first time making digital art so I'm very okay with the feedback about rough edges because it's very very true! And a good point! We are thinking of going back at some point and refining things and making it more cohesive! Thanks again!
Very cute game!! Although I'm not sure if I encountered a bug when I returned the last item, basically the background disappeared and it looks like I'm running through a blank screen.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the game!
Also it's not exactly a bug but it is our very last minute 'victory' screen and we programmed it maaaaaayyyybeee like 15 minutes before submitting and you were basically just up too high for the image to show entirely!
Lovely sweet experience, I had a lot of fun deciding the best item for each of the characters and laughed at the pop culture references in the background, the audio was cliping a little bit on my end and the art tho wholesome and cute, seemed a little rough around the edges, but nothing that wouldnt be solved with more time. Congratulations!
Thank you so much for your feedback and reply! And thanks for playing! I'm glad you found it sweet, we really just wanted to make a positive and silly game especially with all the stress the world has had for the last year and a half! Sorry the audio was clipping but I am glad you caught the pop cultural references!
Did... did I just blow up the sun?!
But seriously, what a great game! Short, sweet, and to the point. The controls for walking up and down ramps are a little janky, but you explained it well in your game description, so that's fine. Just a place to refine in the future! The dialogue was really cute, and the music was sweet to match the gameplay. Great job!
So glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the feedback! We'd never ever made a video game before so there's a lot to learn for sure!
Also you didn't blow up the sun, basically we wanted a victory screen and also wanted to build a larger game later where after you succeed you are transported to the fairy realm where all the stolen items were being kept but we didn't have time for something that big of course!
Anyway so glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for playing!
Great work with this one! Fun and enjoyable lil game. Awesome job :)
Thank you so much! Im so glad you enjoyed it!
I love this and would love a whole game like this. The roommates are charming and the whole premise of the game feels uplifting and unique. Also a music transition when you got to the top! All around awesome :D
I'd love to know - when you get the the end after the victory screen and your character can still move left and right, do they go anywhere? I kept running for a while just to see how long they'd go and it really seemed like they were running off, I dug it, especially the light movement of the gradient (I know this is random, but it was fun for me lol).
I'm so glad you liked this! We hadn't made music before and I hadn't made digital art in over a decade so it was a lot of challenge! But we wanted something positive and happy and wholesome especially after the stress of the last year and a half for everyone.
At the end basically it's our very hastily made victory screen. It was mostly a placeholder but also left room for a transition to a larger game, though this wasn't communicated because we didn't have time to make more of the game. But basically it was going to be that you get transported to the fairy realm where all the stolen items had been being kept but basically we just wanted an ending victory screen and that's all we had time for!
Oh, totally get that on the time thing haha. And I love that that was your goal with the cheerful premise, it certainly was a delight to play and appreciated ^_^
Fun Idea of delivering people's lost items, but I wish there was a better way to figure out who needed what. Maybe dialogue box hints
Glad you liked the idea! We wanted it to be random and silly and for giving the wrong items to be entertaining too! It's not as well implemented and polished as would be good for such an endeavor but I hope you still had fun!
I really like the unique characters and the little dialogue lines are so wholesome, what a fun slice of a game! I almost wanted to guess all the wrong people to read all the lines!
YESSSSS!! I'm so glad you liked it and found it wholesome! Also happy to hear that you wanted to make the wrong choices because that was part of what we were hoping for! Silly, whimsy! Maybe a little bit of a question about why we do the things we do in games and when not doing "the thing" is maybe more enjoyable!
I the art style is so nice and refreshing. I love the dialogue too. Someone needs to stop that sun.
I'm so glad you liked it! I haven't drawn anything digital in more than a decade and so I was very nervous about the art! But it seems like it's okay haha. We had a lot of fun writing the dialogue and I'm so glad you liked that too!
Thats really a good one. The art is amazing and how the music is changing on floors sounds so good. What is that Pokeball doing there btw lol?
Thank you! I'm glad you liked the music! We have never written music before so we were a little nervous! The pokeball is one of a number of Easter Eggs we left lying around! We wanted to be silly and whimsical in that way so hopefully you enjoyed it!
