this is a really cool concept! it got a little repetitive after a while but there were a lot of cool interactions. also, the guide button didn't work for me but the game basically explained itself, which is always good
Really great concept! The gameplay is one of the most unique in the Jam. Very creative and the sprites matched the game. Great Job!!!
Thanks for submitting your game to the stream! If you wanted to look at the vod again in the future here it is timestamped to your game
Nice game! I enjoyed it a lot, it is a good concept. The guide wasn't working for me, but the game is pretty intuitive so that is not a problem. It might get repetitive, but it is a nice game for a jam. Also I don't know how it fits the jam's theme.
Interesting concept for sure! It might be my poor attention span but I didn't have the patience to play through more than three levels - the game just seemed to get quite repetitive. I really appreciate the expertise it takes to pull off a game like this - I'm sure its not easy to create all of these modular parts.
Loved your game, the graphics are well designed for a game Jam and the overall idea and the gameplay feel very interesting. But there is one visual, an audio and one game bug. When it says enemys strength is increased by 2, it is actually increased by 1, you cannot deactivate the sound and music by clicking on the icons, even though it seems like you should be able to, and for the game bug: it is possible to get infinite health, by decreasing the strength of the enemy below 0, so it gives you live, when the enemy attacks you. Otherwise the game is really creative and I hope the game gets developed further with more variety in leveldesign.
Thanks for reporting bugs. The negative attack was intentional, but I don't know how you got the negative big numbers, it looks fun! I glad you enjoy the game.
Very impressive game!
I wouldn't have expected a game so complex for a game jam!
The levels were repeating a little too much, and the enemies weren't really a threat but this is a great proof of concept. I can see the game be extended with more keywords!
Really cool!
Super creative! Well done, cool idea and looks great.
a really good concept! I had a fun time playing it. A lot of potential for a full game here.
Quite a nice concept!
This is a very interesting and unique interpretation of the theme. Had fun playing it! It was a bit repetitive at first and the difficulty curve is not quite right yet, however you already said it's due to running out of time on level design. This idea can absolutely be developed more and has a lot of potential.
Also, hello from a fellow Vietnamese game dev :D
Very creative and entertaining game. Really liked the gameplay.
Very addictive ! i can see a full game with this concept, nice work
This game has potential to be great. Please keep improving it, I see a lot of possibilities with this one.
There was a bug: if I used "ally attack enemies attack enemies", which is not accepted, then I used "ally attack enemies" the dmg will be equal to the times I used wrong sentences. Other things I think is very creative and great. Hope you develop it in the future.
Yeah I forgot to clear the buffer when the player put wrong input. Thanks for reporting
There's probably potential with this but as it is most of what you can do feels like a needlessly complicated way of selecting the same sorts of actions you select in any other turn based battle system. The randomness of which words you get is interesting but deck building games also already offer something similar. Some interactions were pretty interesting like using "is assigned to" with various other things; more pieces like that that can be used in a lot of different ways would benefit the game. In between those more interesting actions it's often too advantageous to just use "ally attack enemy" which gets old pretty quickly. I don't want to say it's bad; I think the concept is cool, just needs some more refinement and variety. I enjoyed the graphics and sound quite a bit though.
I glad that you enjoy the game.
You were kinda right. I was a bit rushed at designing levels, some level feels repetitive, but where were whole lot of level designs that go to this game. It was first implement as a puzzle game. Given a set number of pieces and make the player solve. There can be many players and use the "all" to attack, some were meant to "enemy attack all enemy". Or a super high health high attack that is counter by using "is assigned to". The "attack" is just the base of all pieces that all pieces involve around that. It can be extended to many other mechanics like debuff , heals and shields,... But I only manage to do the attack mechanic in this jam.
Yeah, hopefully I don't sound too harsh; I don't want to be demoralizing or anything haha, just trying to give some constructive feedback. The amount of time given for this jam is hard to even finish anything so what you've got is not bad.
It's okay, the jam was to test and receive feedbacks so I don't mind it. I can see differents view of players rather than myself. Your comment is also very helpful.
Baba Is You-esque combined with one of those programming games - fun concept, lots to expand upon! I had fun.
I saw ImNotGam play it for a while and having a blast so I had to try it for myself. Can confirm, was a blast.
Loved the concept!
This is really nice, I love the music and the art and the concept is pretty good too. Reminds me of Baba is You. Good Submission.
