Very creative take on the theme, I haven't seen another game where you move the camera independently of the player

Developer

Thanks!  I guess it is a pretty weird concept.

Submitted

The game is OK.  I would make the camera a little bit less sluggish.

Quite a fun game! Bouncing off the camera boarders is quite a unique concept! The wholesome fun aesthetic is cute too. But anytime I tried to do any fine movements it'd boost me in a random direction, as I was accidentally pressing the same button twice - maybe changing the boost to shift or something? Overall, it's quite nice, well done!

Thanks!  That's a very good point that I'll try to address in a post jam version.

Was a very fun moment to find that the screen border was how we had to control the character! A fun time for sure!!

Thank you!  I hadn't realized just much of an "aha!" moment that would have been.

Absolutely fantastic and a well made game. The art style reminded me about a japanese flash game back in the days. Visually it is very clean and nostalgic. It is this that made me played a couple more times.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words!

This was more fun than i expected. Very good idea and implemented very well.

Developer

Thanks!  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Honestly, very clever. I do not think i've ever played a game where the camera knocks around the ball and honestly its so much fun.  I think the idea of collecting points and points being skill updates is very cool, and I feel like given the length of the jam you executed it really well. My only feedback is if you decide to do a post jam update maybe add a proximity/direction indicator for items near the player. Visually the game looks nice and is very clean and readable. I had no trouble understanding what was going on. The choice of music and sounds complemented the experience well. Great work, I had a lot of fun.

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and the feedback!  I actually wanted to add in a kind of proximity indicator for off-screen objects, but I didn't have the time to fit it in.  Alas.  It's definitely a good inclusion for a post-jam version.

Very cool and creative game! I think a bit less "drag" on the camera and maybe some visual indication where the level borders are would have been nice.

Developer

Thanks!  Those are great suggestions.

Very interesting concept for movement that leads to a very high skill ceiling. Well done!

Developer

Thanks!  I so curious what a TAS or something of this game would look like.

Fun little arcade game. The camera can feel a bit hard to control, I wish dash was a different button or if there was a brake. The end results screen is very juicy and well done. Clean presentation. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The main mechanic is realy fun.
Not sure what most item do... attack ?

Could became a realy fun game with a more precise goal.

Developer

Hah, that's totally fair.  Attack makes it easier for you to break the boxes.

The controls were hard to get used to. The mechanic is fun though and the  final listing of the score is very well done.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!  I'm very pleased with how the results screen turned out.

Submitted

got a score of 40, really fun game! the controls are janky, but still human enough to not be a pain

Developer

Hah, thanks!  The controls are a bit funky for sure.

This feels like it implements the theme all the way to the core, and i love it!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!  I'm always worried my use of the theme is a little abstract, so I'm happy to hear it rang true to you.

Simple but effective. Trying to balance moving the ball by hitting it against the camera along with trying to keep the collectables visible was a fun little challenge

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  I'm glad it's fun; I wasn't sure if it was going to be engaging enough early on in the jam.

Submitted

Really fun game, it almost felt like I was building up the damage to the punching bag in super smash bros as I was collecting stuff to launch my ball.

Developer

Thanks!  It's in good company if it feels similar to Home Run Contest.

Submitted

Brilliant idea!

Developer

Thank you!

I was shocked when the camera moved and hit the ball to move. Really really clever mechanic, I wish I could see the score during the game though. Enjoyable game!

Developer

Thanks!  That's a good idea for something to add later.

Submitted

The art is great, and it feels so good to get the ball to go super fast.

Developer(+1)

Thank you!  Zooming around was something enjoyed a lot in testing and I'm glad you liked the visuals; I wasn't sure it was going to all work together.

A Really Cool Game... I Find The Theme AMAZING! Just The Simple Graphics Show You Don't Need A 20 Person Team To Make A Nice Lookin Game!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  I was stumped on the theme for a good couple hours before I came up with this idea and even then I wasn't sure it would work.
