The idea is very cool. There are a lot of things to improve, like ticking movement and bugs with moss burning, as well as whole set of extra blocks. I would personally prefer a smaller starting square with faster movement, just to focus more on cathing blocks in the sky and on main mechanic of completing lines from different angles. But it has a potential to be developed further in many different ways. Nice take on the theme!

This is very neat. As others said, it's a bit slow to start. The sound effects were really loud and jarring. I'm not sure why the non-standard blocks are here from a design perspective; they just felt like they got in the way of what I wanted to do as a player. I like this idea and think it could be something really cool with some more iteration.
Very interesting concept. I wish it was a bit faster in the beginning as I found it kind of boring at first, but it does get better as you go. I found myself waiting for blocks in the beginning which bored me a lot. The twist to tetris is very nice, great job, the game could be a bit more polished with better UI maybe and a port to mobile would be nice!
Super interesting concept. Game starts getting super deep as time goes on. Very technically impressive given the time limit. Does start a bit slow, found myself waiting for blocks to place, could probably be turned up a tad. But its a very fitting tetris revamp for the theme. Great job, this could definitely be fleshed out more after the jam into something really addicting.
Really interesting concept and the execution is really good! It is very fun to "catch" blocks falling perpendicularly, and rotating the cube gives a lot of depth for strategy. The different blocks are also interestingly designed (although, some cubes were disconnected cuz I destroyed the link with the bomb tiles. Are they still supposed to rotate? lol)
There is a lot of potential in this idea and could be even more chaotic than regular Tetris. Very good work!!
Thank you for the kind words! I agree rotating the cube gives a lot of depth, because technically you have the same range of control as normal tetris but some maneuvers are going to be more difficult than others, because you either have to chase a block sometimes or get at them perpendicularly. There are definitely a few bugs, I kind of overlooked gravity for blocks for specific edge cases, so that'll be one of the first things I fix. Thank you so much!
This was interesting! I liked the concept of blocks reacting to your rotation, in practice I found it really difficult to manage their different behaviors on top of the inversed Tetris idea; as a lot of Tetris strategies and moves can't apply when the tetromino's can't be rotated. Upping the spawn rate of blocks and making the inital square a bit smaller might improve the pacing a bit as well.
You definitely got the concept across and it fits the theme of the jam well, great work!
Hey, Tetris DS had a similar minigame (the one with 8-bit Samus in the background), thanks for the nostalgia trip!
But, since I played it, I am a bit biased as I've seen what a similar concept can do once fully expanded...
Still, "Tetris but you're the floor in 2D" is a great concept, and the different types of block make it stand out, so good job! ^^
This is such a great concept! Love the different types of blocks, they really add another layer of depth to the game. Hope to see you expand on this in the future.
