Really good BGM, Story lines are really fun and funny. Loved it!
Nice aesthetic and good sound! The idea is super creative and interesting, and you executed it great!
This is awesome! Love the aesthetic and vibe!
what an amazing game! there seemed to be some grammatical errors. Also I loved diego carlos armando de la mongoose's name.
Thanks for the comment! Sorry about the grammar errors. We are not native English speakers and even though we did a grammar check and fixed a lot of errors, unfortunately, we lost a large part of it due to some crashes and unsaved progress. We tried to do the check again, but we probably did not manage to catch all the errors again in the limited time we had left.
And we love Diego Carlos Armando de la Mongoose too :)
Great game! Only changes I would make would be to decrease the text audio and increase its speed, but besides that, very fun game! It may not be the fanciest game on this jam, but I've actually had the most fun with this one so far. Picking the chaotic options in the dating game was great, and creating a fun story in the fantasy one was fun in its own way. Way to go!
Cute! Text probably just needs more editing and polish, noticed a few errors here and there. Writing was funny though. Overall, pretty fun. I will never forget you Diego Armando de la Mongoose
This was pretty fun and the writing was clever. My main issue is it'd be nice if you could speed up the text crawl, some of the blurbs of text are really long and waiting through them between choices gets a little annoying. Aside from that I had fun playing this and seeing different outcomes.
This was interesting. While perhaps the language could be more polished (I presume the team doesn't consist of native English speakers?), I enjoyed the routes, and always enjoy a bit of interactive fiction. The song was probably unnecessary, and I turned it off, but I know the Game Jam crowd gets angry if you somehow don't include a music loop.
Good job!
This was great, I will always remember Diego Carols Armando de la Mongoose whi was kidnapped for stealing from ninjas. Well done
Really cool concept and very entertaining!
Want to see more of Diego Armando de la Mongoose hahah
My game has a similar concept that let the player play and then rate your effort in entertaining them but my concept is applied in turn-based RPG. I would never think of putting it in text-based adventure games format creating Reversed text-based adventure! Very creative and well-executed.
I like it very much and like the music choices.
Thanks. The music was actually composed by one of the teammembers, Pozitreo (although not during the 48h of the jam) who also wrote the whole fantasy-RPG storyline.
Loved the concept for this, brings back a lot of zork memories, would love to see what something like this could be post jam!
Pretty fun, I played through it multiple times, and I enjoyed how the stories unfolded. The dialogue was well written and funny. Presentation wise, everything felt good, and looked and sounded nice. Some feedback is that there were a few times i would see things like [name1] or [item1] I am guessing something feel through the cracks and it is arguably very minor. Job well done, I had fun.
Love the idea and the CGA color scheme. I'm curious how the system works, is it meant to keep track of selections and re-use those words later? I ask because I saw one instance where it said I had a nil weapon, and another time it referenced [item1], not sure if it's a bug or intentional.
Yes, some of the choices are stored and referenced later. We first created all the dialogues in a big google doc and some of the references might have slipped when translating to working code. This was definitely supposed to reference a weapon the player found at the beginning of the story instead of [item1].
This is really well done! The dialog was very funny at times and was engaging throughout. I think the colors on the UI were a little garish, though, and I also found the font a bit hard to read. But overall, this is a great entry---good work!
Very cool game! i'm not really a fan of text-based adventures but even then i played the first story till the end. Good job!
A really nice take on the theme, loved the UI art and the writing made me giggle (i miss diego already)
Interesting concept! And I absolutely love the writing so kudos to all writers involved.
Enjoyed the style of this game a ton! The different options and responses made me chuckle at times, I liked that not all the options were the most obvious.
It would be really cool if when a player joins you were given an idea of what they liked in a game and you had to choose the options carefully to entertain them!
Thanks, we're glad you enjoyed the game.
Having preferences of the player and choosing options to entertain them was actually a part of the original idea (there would be a game over if the player was bored too much), but we chose to simplify the game in order to finish it in time.
I like this game. It's simple but well-executed, it takes the theme and spins it around a little to see what falls out.
The UI is simple but pleasing to the eye, although the saturated neon gets a little hard to look at in full screen.
The writing is self-aware and witty and generally very well executed which makes the whole experience. It's very enjoyable and creative and made me exhale sharply from my nose on multiple occasions. The interactions are very banterous.
The concept in itself, while a little janky, works well precisely because of its self-awareness and wit.
But for a text based game, I would like the write speed a bit faster or a skip animation button, because particularly for more than single line text, the writing effects began to get a little frustrating. To be fair though, that's a matter of personal preference.
All in all, definitely fun, recommend trying it out.
