Good artwork and nice gameplay, short enough for the jam but expecting something more in the future.
the art is nice and the level was enjoyable (just enough hard for me), I wish the key mechanic was use more often though
I WIN!
Cool little puzzle platformer!
Overall mechanics are great! Momentum idea is very clever.
But this weird camera snapping when starting to move or when chanigng the direction... I think I got motion sick xD
Overall very well made!
Well done!
And thanks for the compliments :)
Hey cool game, its actually really similar to my game, except mine uses physics, we even used the same controls and have the same bugs lol :) i would set up restricted areas where the player can't change size (if there is no space for the player to change, they shouldn't be allowed to change).
Thx, yours is nice as well
I left that bug in because it didn't break anything and allowed for some funny glitches
"It's not a bug, it's a feature!" ;)
really amazing idea and implementation for this game. i can see this go so so so much further! i have a lot of hope for y'all!
Wow thanks!
Cute game, really fit the theme. It's quite challenging at some parts. Also, the music and sfx are dope.
Thanks for liking my sound selections!
Nice style. I liked the music and SFX as well. The camera effects are dope. However I wasn't able to finish the mid-air scale part. How do you pass it?
Good job anyways! Especially when you know it's only 48h.
Thx for the compliments :)
you can pass the mid-air rescale jump by jumping while big, and then quickly rescaling to small (get the height from the big guy and the distance from the small guy)
Oh, I've got it now. Thanks. I thought that could also play with physics. E.g. multiply big's velocity if it's mid air. It could be a nice "catapult" mechanics.
Once I've read this I was able to finish te game. Looks like the main mechanics was a bit confusing for me. It feels pretty satisfying to play. Good job!
Thanks!
Thanks for appreciating my sound choices! For the mid-air scale part, I'll just say you jump higher while big, but travel slower and leave it at that.
A very cute game. I was able to get to the end successfully!
Nice!
Wow. Such a great game. I wish there we more levels.
Thx!
just want to say, i love the lil frog guy
Thank you! He is the main character of GÖRF, the game I made for last years GMTK Game Jam :)
Cute platformer, as others said I also messed up a little with the space key, because in my mind is tied to jumping. The camera was a bit shaky (on Firefox at least) but it wasn't much of a problem. Nice fun experience, fun level design with challenging jumps. Nicely done!
Thanks, much appreciated :)
A cute and simple idea, executed well. The only thing i wished, was that rescale ability was tied to another button (i kept messing up my jumps. Muscle memory haha). Nice work
Thank you, I will change the input once I can update the game :)
I really liked the game! I think the camera was bugged for me as a friend who was playing it at the same time as me had a much larger view of the map. However, it was still a blast to play especially with the sound effects whenever you jump or change size. The art style was also something I found really aesthetically pleasing! Great job! :D
Thanks, much appreciated :)
Really fun platformer! I was fighting my muscle memory the whole time with space not being jump, but it was worth it! Cute easter eggs and nice sound design!
Thank you!
Quick question: the spacebar thing seems to be the main feedback from people, do you think making it arrow-keys only would fix this problem, because then the player has their right hand on the arrow keys and left hand on spacebar, instead of the standard left hand for WASD and spacebar together?
Maybe but I would say that changing the size to E and SPACE to jump, noone would say a thing. In Celeste, it took me a very long time to learn that C is for jump, even tho it is objectively much better for a precision platformer like Celeste is. If you are making a small game that the player is going to spend max a few minutes on, you should adapt to the player and not make the player adapt to your game like you would in bigger games :D
Ah thanks E is a great idea I'll change that when I can update my game
Thanks for the sound design compliments!
Good job!
cool game! fun mechanic, there is potential for really cool levels
Thx :)
Great game - it is so fun to play and smart! I like the graphics and the soundeffects. And I adore the easter eggs :) You did an amazing job, especially accounting the short time you had, and being sick too ...
Thank you very much :)
Glad you enjoyed the sound design!
That was quite a fun game. And accounting for the time you had it is excellent! The graphics and the audio fit the game very well. Slight problem tho. I didn't like that you change size with the spacebar because I am so used to thinking that it is for jumping. But maybe it is a skill issue :)
Thanks for appreciating the audio work!
Cute game! The resizing mid air took me a while to get the hang of, but it's a fun mechanic! :D
Thank you!
Pretty cute game, I got frustrated after the mid air size-changing part, that long jump is too hard :( Congrats on finishing the game even tho you got sick, thats awesome!
Amazing game for the short time you had! The mechanics are great and the way the camera zooms when you move is so satisfying. Definitly 10/10. GÖRF reference makes it 11/10!
