great game idea! and nice art style, love the implementation of 2d cutouts in the 3d world

Awesome chill game! I spent so much time perfecting the positions of the cutouts so they cover the murals just right! I didn't need to spend that much time but it felt so good :)

fun perspective puzzles!

I liked how the VO would tell me where I was messing up a dope picture puzzle game, This is the first unity game ive had with 3d in this jam I was wondering If I would see one and this delivered. I did have a strange rotation error where my camera was continously turning right but that might have been a me thing

Developer

Hmm, I haven't seen that issue before. You might be right about that being an issue on your end, but odd regardless. I'll see if I can figure out what's going wrong there.

The puzzles are good. They build well and do achieve the ahah moments. Visuals and music are good as well, everything feels pretty polished. Voice lines with context is absolutely genius. Really helpful for the puzzles, especially in the beginning. Alright that's the good stuff. Not much negative to say. The finicky puzzle early on is an issue. Might make some people leave before they get to the rest of the good puzzles. The unlit texture for the cutouts seemed a bit strange to me. When I beat the game, I thought it might have just bugged because It sent me to the menu, but I had just completed the final levels. Overall really good. Worthy of 5 stars.

Wow! This was awesome! I really loved how accurate your guides were, and was so impressed you called out specific VO lines for each instance. This felt so cheerful, I left feeling really happy. Thanks for the experience!

Cool interpretation! Also liked the guiding voice that chimed in when I needed some help. The solutions the game allowed on a level or two weren't as 'picture perfect' as I would have wanted, but really cool game nonetheless

Developer(+1)

Haha yeah, I definitely agree that some of the levels have too harsh or lenient requirements. It's a really tough balance to strike, especially with our less-than-ideal implementation. If we were to do it again I'd definitely change how the "picture-perfectness" of the scene is computed. Glad you enjoyed regardless.

pretty awesome! i like the simple and and the voice acting paired with the simple puzzles!

Your interpretation of the theme is so creative! The cardboard cutouts of the animals & flowers was so charming; I just wanted to live in the world you created all day. Lovely game!

Submitted(+2)

Really well done. All the levels were enjoyable but none were too hard. Feels like a promising start to a bigger game.

Loved this take on the theme

This is really cool. Really creative concept, nice visuals, cool mechanics. And the narrator was amazingly helpful when it was unclear what you needed to fix. Great Job!

Love this idea! Any the voice acting really helped direct me when it was clear I was struggling. It did kinda seem like the game wanted me to use its solution instead of letting me make my own solution to the "cover all the things" problem... maybe there's a way to allow more open-ended solutioning?

Very cute and cosy! Loved the voice acting and the artstyle, however I do not enjoy games which require high-precision mechanics so enjoyment was quite low for me. However the coding and handling of mechanics was done very well!

I really enjoyed this. It was super cute and relaxing, and I liked how clear it was. My favorite moment was when the narrator told me to put the tree on the table. It felt like I was actually being given clear instructions, which can be rare for game jam games. Excellent game!

this is my second 5/5/5 so far

absolutely incredible take on the theme

controls can be glitchy and janky here and there but who cares about those little things

you’ve chosen to make something super interesting and unique, so much respect for that

this is really refreshing to see

so cute! love the art and the puzzle is very creative!

I had some trouble understanding because of my Au-di-ech-di.. but  i'd really enjoy it as a published game!

great for kids too!

Love the visuals of the cardboard cutouts!

This is pretty clever take on the perspective interpretation. I like how you explain the mechanics through narration and then put a twist on them in later levels such as hiding things or using things out of view to create the height required. It was little challenging to know if I had the right framing and the game does not tell me how close I am. Maybe some sort perception, or narration, or something to indicate how close I am to the height and depth.
