Very fun concept of matching up scales with scales!  I also used musical scales in my submission and I'm glad there are so many music-y games this time around.  Nice work!

Hello, composer from "Crescendo" here! Really cool idea trying to make a musical scales game mixed with bullet hell haha. It was cool to see the drawings be drawn out as you completed the scales, and I managed to get a high score of 13 in the endless octave mode! I could see this being a game to help people learn their scales though and I thought that was really cool, so I'm definitely interested to see every scale in a post jam version! Especially if you add classical music (maybe Jazz too, or some other genre that uses the scale) and try and guess the composer/era. This could be really beneficial for anyone learning classical music (or some other genre of music) or just music theory in general.

I actually plan on adding all the major scales and creating a hard mode where players have to read the note on the staff rather than just the letter notes falling down. As an ex-band nerd,  I would have loved learning the scales with a game rather than trying to learn them solely practicing on the marimba at school lol. It'll be a little bit before I can add updates as I'm in my last semester of school but I'm definitely going to come back and finish this game releasing a fully realized version, I'm glad you enjoyed it and thank you for giving me some more ideas for it!!!

Wow, very cool to hear! Good luck in your last semester, and glad I could help with some ideas!

I agree this could be a teaching tool.  I was thinking the same thing about the game I made.  If you're willing to play, I'm curious what you think. I'm trying to get more music people to the game, so when I saw "composer", I couldn't resist.

Sure, I'll make sure to check it out.

as a rythme game enjoyer I found the movement a little to slidy. I felt like I didn't have enough time to propperly catch the notes (like osu!catch for example). still great entry and liked playing it!

Really simple game, liked the concept, sometimes it got difficult because of the randomness. It's a good asmr like game. Good entry!

I completely zoned out while playing, and ending up playing for ages! Super zen vibes, I really enjoyed the experience! Lovely work!

Super fun game, learned some music theory :) Good job!

Musical scales!!! No!! My one weakness!!

I liked the concept of the game, but I can't do think kind of stuff.

Thank you for playing my game even though it isn't your...forte...(hehe, music pun)!

amazing art for the animals and love the concept, I think I would have like something more interesting gameplay but still really enjoyed it. Maybe you could explore the game further with another game play loop?

really nice use of the theme!

Really cute and relaxing! I love the hand made drawings of the animals

I dont konw about music. But I know you draw great assets and made a good game out of them! This is inspiring and experimental

First game I've seen use the theme as "musical scales" I don't have a musical bone in my body so I was very appreciative of the guide on the left side of the screen. Cool drawings and very unique concept! Well done!

It's a stylish game. Drawings are cool, musical sounds are charming!
I would suggest to add a "easy peasy" mode with colored "pick this note" stuff for those who like me is dumb and can't figure out what to do even if there message boxes and many tips around :)
Also, it would be helpful to see exactly what you're need to get next. Sometimes I forgot what I've just picked up.

This game has a charm and I've enjoyed playing it!

I wanna keep working on this game and I was planning on adding modes to it, this would definitely be the medium. Hard would be trying to read the notes on the staff. I wanted to add a color system to the game but programming is not my strongest skill and I wasn't sure how to do it with the existing prefabs of the notes

Hey, you've made a good job! Programming could be tricky. It's especially cool to do something for a jam when some of your skills not meet your own expectations!

So, don't be anxious. And feel free to check our submission too! Would like to chit-chat for a while!

I really enjoyed the hand drawn assets for the game! The drawing of the fish was really pretty. I also found the musical component of the game to be really satisfying.

Thank you!! My favorite drawing I did for the game was a dragon but I was three minutes late getting that scale/artwork added in so I couldn't upload the file

Great game! I love the simple concept and art style you have there!

Beautiful art and fun use of the theme in multiple ways :)

Love the artwork for the those scaly creatures.

Agree that controls could be tightened slightly, but still had a lot of fun playing through.

Wonderful name too.

This game is really fun and challenging. It took me a while to realise that the notes weren't random sizes, but they were different octaves. I kept wondering why I was messing up on the last note lol. The game is a little bit repetitive though. Well done.

Developer

One of my playtesters was having the same problem not realizing that the size of the notes were related to their octave. That's why I decided to put the instructions and notes and stuff off to the side. Thank you for playing!!

Haha funny take on the theme. I thought the game was pretty hard (combination of the movement and  speed of the falling notes) but I enjoyed it a lot. Illustrations are amazing too.

Awesome game :) I like it! Only got 8 Points max, because the control feels a little bit spongy but I had much fun :)
