I love the way you implemented the theme into your game! Great job creating the game within 48 hours as well!

Very fun, very chaotic. The artstyle was so, so beautiful too! This would do super well as a mobile game. Kepe up the good work!

I actually plan on finishing and releasing this as a mobile game once I graduate this December so hearing you say that is awesome! Thank you so much for playing!!

can't wait to download it!

Nice idea to use musical scales!

I love the concept of this game, nice take on the theme! Gameplay was challenging but in a way still relaxing. Overall just a great job!

Love the musical take on a not-quite 'bullet hell'! Hearing the notes play with each collection is very soothing while frantically trying to dodge the unneeded notes. I would recommend adding a low-key background track for the notes to blend in to, it would add a bit more character. Overall, great work!

It is a great game, with an amazing idea. The gameplay was fun, and having to try harder after notes reset you back in my opinion gave it quite a challenge which I enjoyed. I really loved the art of the animals. I found it relaxing hearing the SFX match with the notes hit, so great job on that too. Discussed stuff via DMs that I would change. Otherwise, great job!

Ths is an amazing idea and the game is absolutely beautiful. However it was infuriating to play. Often there were no places to stand without notes and even hitting thee samee note twice would resart the progress. I feel like the aesthetic vibes are goig fro a zen game but the difficult gameplay had me not even payng attention to the artwork by the end.
Very well made and gorgeous, well done.

To hear it was infuriating is really disheartening but its great feedback!! Thank you for taking the time to play!! I almost added a small cutout to the edges of the screen to go for a "safe" zone but I wasnt sure if i should; after your feedback I'm gonna add it for the next round of play testing I do for it to see if it reduces the difficulty and frusteration at all.

Great idea! The animal pictures are also great. I'm going to try to learn musical scales with this game.

Unique interpretation of the theme and nice art style, good job!

Very fun idea which obviously fits the theme well multiple times. I enjoyed the game play but was frustrated at how often I needed to restart because the notes spawn too far down or are on top of each other, despite this I had fun and it was a very good job :)

Developer

thank you for playing!! I wasn't sure how to keep the notes from spawning on/in each other but it was something that bothered me too, I wish I could have fixed it.

A fun interpretation on the theme! Pretty challenging, but it was fun dodging and weaving between the different notes to hit just the right one. Great work!

Submitted(+1)

Nice game, there's lots of time waiting for the right note you need to appear.

Developer

That was something I noticed while testing too. I tried to fix it by having a random spawning array then a continuous array that would spawn the next note then restart. I think it helped a lot but yeah, if you miss it then you gotta hope the rng is on your side lol. Thank you for playing!!

Not sure how you could do this, but could you increase the probability of the note you need to spawn, maybe 2 of the note you need in the spawning array?

Submitted(+1)

Wow, this is a super sweet idea.

I like how you have to try to avoid the different notes in order to get the note next on the scale. It is definitely a unique idea that I haven't seen so far. Though I have to say that resetting the whole progress was a bit frustrating, I was so close to the end multiple times and then had to completely start from the beginning. It wasn't a big deal, but I thought I would mention it.

One thing that also might have been nice is a bit of relaxing, quiet background music, because if you are looking for a specific note and it doesn't spawn in a while, it's pretty much complete silence.

Besides that, the drawings are absolutely gorgeous, and seeing the different stages from start to finish is super cool. I really love how you interpreted the theme. Really cute, small game. Good job!

Great job, I like the multiple interpretations of the theme and the hand drawn art is great too. GG!

Interesting concept and charming! I would maybe reduce the speed of the notes falling and spread them a bit more, I accidentally took too many notes that I didnt want. But otherwise great job!

It definitely follows the theme but the controls felt a bit slippery at times and it feels that most of the focus went to the animals' art work

Developer

Yeah, I need to go in and edit the movement of the player a bit. Unfortunately I only had one play tester so it was a bit hard to gauge the movement off only their feedback. Funnily enough, the programming took most of my time; the artwork only took about an hour per animal drawing.

the art is even more impressive then, I spent forever trying to get my scribbles to look acceptable

This is pretty fun. Got me thinking about music theory again. I was thinking "Now comes Fb... wait a moment, that's just E"

I did this for some reason

Very nice style with the charcoal drawings.  I would have loved music in the background and the notes appearing in musical rhythmic intervals.

The game looks so charming! The art style reminds me of Japanese prints for some reason :)

I especially love that even if you don't play it right and just mess around it still feels like fun.  Just enjoying some music here, no matter how chaotic it may become!

I would probably like it to proceed a bit slower or have some kind of tutorial, cause it is a bit difficult to deal with everything right now. Maybe at first there shouldn't be so many options, just to get used to the gameplay and memorize the order in case you need to memorize it. Thus it can be both educational and a bit easier to master!

Developer(+1)

Aww, thank you!! I did the artwork with charcoal and having you say it reminds you of japanese prints is really cool for me as that style is hard for me to recreate even though I love it.

I wanted to have easier versions and harder versions of the game with this one being the middle ground but i just ran out of time. I definitely plan on slowing down the speed for the easy version too.
