Cute game, enjoyable puzzle... I would love to hve a tutorial to explain what you can do. :)
Loved the game! Didn't play all the levels and will comeback to it afterwards, but one of the best games of the Jam! very polished and really nice graphics and sound design.
Heey thank you man but you said comeback??? because we will comeback with an update (seeing all these good reviews lol)
(the text under it is a copy paste)
all these reviews mean a lot for us and it's why we are going to update our game and release it on mobile
we are currently working on :
- better tutorial
- satisfying handle and other UX
- simple levels and optionnal really hard levels (with no difficulty spike)
- new level menu select
- more living levels
and maybe:
- a new world with a new mechanic
- better lore comprehension (mouses brother, bear and it family)
and that's all ig xD
that's awesome!
Very cute blocks and interesting puzzles and stages. Good job!
Very colorful, I loved the puzzles!
Reminded me of Nitrome's games from back in the day. Lovely stuff!
Awesome game idea, really polish and love the art style. Amazing work!
The idear is so fun, great levels design, a solid 5 stars
Only played 3-4 levels, but this goes in the bucket of basically perfect jam games, IMO
Charming game idea with a nice overall visual execution! very tidy and thoughtful! Wish I had the patience to get myself through all of the levels, but after a few restarts on one of first few levels I had to give up. But I think the game was good, and certainly has an audience :)
Ohhhh, is the goal to make the red block touch the green block? I really did not understand the goal. I went through a couple iterations on what my understanding was before I finally figured it out. Also I really wish it took one click instead of two to resize a block; it should be doable without too much noisy input resulting in accidental movement… Maybe if you also added support for undoing the last move it could be more forgiving.
Other than that though, this is really intuitive. The simple pixel art is obviously delightful. The bright up-beat music adds a great vibe too. You can’t play this without a smile on your face.
Also the expressions on the block faces depending on what you do to them is over-the-top-excellent.
I finished it. Besides the controls which are a bit on the clunky side on my opinion, I think the game is very well polished for it's immense size.
I think the controls feel clunky to me because you have to click twice to move one square while when extending into the wall you will move more than ten without clicking once. Off course I do see that the reason for these controls is the situation when two scaling tabs overlap when two Glob's are adjacent to oneother. One way you could fix that issue without making you have to click twice is by making you drag from the center of a Glob in the direction you want, which just happens to be something I accidentally tried over and over again when trying to clear levels. Another thing that could help is a rewind last turn button, especially with how speratic you move when extending into a wall.
Some parts of the game that really stood out to me were the part where you introduce the black character in a safe corner of the map to make you understand the mechanic of extending your other side to land further away from the wall. The other part I really liked was the level where you start one side of the level on a flat floor and you have to get to other side somehow. The centre of mass manipulation in that level was pretty impressive.
Mouse make squeeky sound
Very naice
Very charming, nice tunes, an original concept that fits the theme perfectly - one of my favorites so far! And so well polished too.
I love this and it is so fun :)
Cool art style! One piece of feedback for quality of life is that I have to click twice each time I switch to changing the size of a different glob. It would be nice to be able to click and drag without an additional click (though I guess this could be a problem when two globs are adjacent to each other)
I love the style so much, the gameplay is so creative and fun too ^^! great job!
I mean,
This is amazing!
Great job! This is an amazing game to have been created in 96 hours
I love the mouse and cheese world so much, it's so adorable!!! Very great job
how did you do this in 96 hours!!
probably has infra code from other projects
Hey, we made almost everything during the jam, except the pause menu which I had lying around from a previous project :) Two of us didn't even know how to use Godot! We were just very motivated, and caffeine probably played a role too, haha
didn't mean anything bad with that tho, IMO value > tools used to achieve it. But huge kudos to you guys for doing it basically from scratch then! nice work
No worries, I didn't take it wrongly! Thank you very much!
Hey we were 5 really motivated person !, we just made pause menu before the jam starts xD
here is the code of the project if you wanna know how we made the game c: https://github.com/ARKANYOTA/gmtk2024
