I love the idea, but I just can't get the hang of the controls unfortunately. Also stopping the tank while shooting just makes the controls feel more unresponsive. The idea of shrinking the tank for health also is just really funny. Honestly great concept, I would've loved to play more of it if I could get the controls to work for me.
Thanks for the feedback!
the game is super cute, i love how it looks and the concept is all there, the way that you move the tank is sadly skewed which makes it hard to play because i never move like i feel like i should, the board also gets really crowded really quickly and snowball a bit, and when pressing two directions you just stop, - i would have rathered at least continuing to go one direction when pressing two angles
i think with a few tweaks this game would feel nicer
Thanks for the feedback! I wanted to make purely isometric shooting and movement, which was an experiment and I completely agree that stopping the tank is not the best solution, continuing to move in one direction sounds much better
the isometric movement isn't the problem, the tank's movement is just skewed from the artwork , it seems to move along a slightly different axis, i think isometric movement works fine here
I agree) I made the movement before the level art was ready and these two things were slightly out of sync
Wow, amazing entry! The sound effects and music are fantastic and fit the game perfectly. The art style and color palette are superb—it gives us a nostalgic feeling! The controls were intuitive, so we got used to them quickly. Awesome job!
Thank you! It's nice to hear :)
Adorable tiny tank. I want one for my desk at home! Feels like the kind of game I would have spent hours playing in the computer labs when I was younger. Lovely little game, well done!
Oooh, this is so cute feedback! Thank you!
Bring child memories was my main goal during this development. Maybe this is how we imagine our toy wars way back then.
great pixel art style! the background of the desk really sells the game for me and i like the flash indication as well!
Thank you so much!
Controlling the tank is complicated.
yep, sorry it was an experiment
I can play this all day!
The best thing I could read today! Thank you!
Loved the art and the concept! Good job
Love the concept and the art!
It felt really juicy to play, but not being able to move diagonally was difficult in the beginning
Besides that, lovely game!
The art is so charming!
I saw the thumbnails, I click within seconds, I love the set up of the game, playing with toys on the desk. Really lovely! It's fun, and nicely polished. Really nice job!!!
Heeey! Thank you for kind words!
Challenging game with great art!
Thank you!
I felt like I was in the middle of Toy Story hahaha! The art is really good, it really looks like toys that are attacking you. The tank gameplay left me a little confused, because the tank could only move sideways and not diagonally for example, but otherwise I found it super fun! (And quite difficult heheh)
Tnank you! I'm glad you have fun - the tank movement was intended... a little experiment
Cool stuff, love the idea of connecting health to character size and I assume damage.
Thank you! Yes. damage also becomes weaker
The perspective makes the controls a bit confusing, but overall a fun game! Gets hectic very quickly
Thank you!
