How does your game fit the theme?
Our game jam fits the theme because not only is the player scaled down to model size in a modeling program, but is also force to do the ACT of scaling alongside rotating and moving within the program.

lovely concept and main mechanic, it took me a bit to figure out how to change the axis though :_ i initially thought it was bugged

Developer(+1)

thank you sm!!! sorry if it wasnt clear abt that with the UI and its somethin we plan on helpin out if we work on it more haha

Submitted(+1)

Quite the unique submission. Thanks for your submission. Is one of the devs on your team a 3d artist?

Developer(+1)

ppreciate you man! i myself and nicolette are both 3d artists although she focused on development and i cranked out the art for this one!

Submitted(+1)

Really cool idea, I think the game kind of broke pretty soon after I started playing, that or I couldn't see what was happening

Developer

thank you! we apologize if it mightve been a bit unclear as far as UI and all as it wasnt much in scope at the time to handle it but if you use the scroll wheel and the mouse buttons it for sure can work :D

Fantastic use of the theme, and great use putting it in. Really liked how it all came together. Only improvement I see would be a submit button, as sometimes the level seemed to say 'close enough' and submit before I was quite finished adjusting. All round great entry though!

Developer

thank you man!! we totally wouldve loved to work on more UI / UX and we didnt have the scope for it at the time sadly :( but that's a great idea that we can implement if we work on it more!

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea, controls worked pretty well too. The stuff of nightmares getting stuck in a modelling program :D

Developer

thank you!!! not only are you STUCK but i mean you still gotta impress your boss to maintain your day job haha >:D

Submitted(+1)

Really unique idea! The platforming movement did feel a bit floaty though.

Developer(+1)

thank you!! i guess it was kinda floaty as we did level design pretty quickly not gonna lie but we also wanted it to be pretty casual and easy enough for ppl to find the respective pieces (even if a couple areas a little devious haha)

Submitted(+1)

good game  except I got stuck in the first level and there is no reset/respawn button

Developer

WOOPS HAHA this is actually the very one point in the game you can accidentally softlock yourself at, i too got stuck here my bad

Quite a fun and unqie game.

Developer

thank you fr!

I liked the concept, I have never played a Game like this. Good Job <3

Developer

thank you!!! glad to hear that our game is the first like it that you've played :D

I can't
I can't understand the bushes

Really liked your game! It's pretty fun to play an I like how it is like 2 games in one, allowing the paces to change a little (pretty sure there's a gmtk video about that btw)

I ended up pretty proud of my tavern, even tho I just managed to put it place the assets you guys made lol

Congrats, it's very fun!

Developer(+1)

LMAO thank you!! one of the biggest things abt it is that its pretty hard to tell where to place things due to poor clarity and it was something i didnt take account into when it was being made haha but if we do work on it again then we plan on putting in more UI and changing up some things to help that better

What a delightful game!! Truly had me puzzling over my own spatial awareness xD but it felt so good to hear things to click in place. I mostly do 2D art but been meaning to pick up 3D modeling at some point, maybe this is a sign I should start lol

Had some moments where I couldn't find an asset in the platforming stage, particularly the eggs for the Dragon Keep (they were white and blended in with the platform) and the trees for the Dragon Keep (couldn't find the platform for a bit there xD) but it was really fun to go hunt down an asset before getting to click it into place.

All the models were so well done and I loved the shakes and the sighs of relief to really hammer in the stress of the deadline and the feeling of delivering your asset just in time!

Developer

ppreciate you fr! i think i forgot to put in the texture of that before we put it in actually so its somethin ill keep in mind for if we decide to update!
(and yes this is a sign that you start doing 3d modeling >:D)

Submitted(+2)

as a 3D artist, I can totally relate to your game lol!

Developer

as a 3D artist, i was very much hoping other 3D artists would relate and i'm happy to hear that :D

Submitted(+2)

nice concept

Developer

thank you!!

This makes me realise I shouldnt be contracted to build a home, Very cute puzzle game

Developer(+1)

if you can put together stuff in this game i'm sure you can build a home too (at least, in a 3d program) :D

Neat models and environment!

Developer

thank you fr man!

This was such a creative take on the theme! I loved the style and the mechanics so much!!

Developer

thank you fr!!!

Blender video game haha I love the idea and it was very fun and well executed, however some polish and UI could be improved. Great game though!

Developer

thank you!! sadly certain things werent in scope at the time but we're sure to add it if we go back into it more :D

Submitted

Yea that's real lol my scope also got destroyed by the time

I loved this interpretation of the theme, and the whole art direction of your game rocks -- I really feel like I'm stuck in some kind of editing software! Honestly, this brings me back to my 3D math and computer graphics classes, and I feel like this would have been a good visual aid helping to visualize how transformations affect the state of the objects 😅 Also inspires me to maybe try opening Blender again (I've only modeled very blobby trees before.)

Developer (1 edit)

thank u ray!!🥹 none of us are blender users on the team surprisingly enough haha (as far as I know)

But I will forever rep maya & I'm sure Darius will rep 3ds Max

Developer

i appreciate that fr! i think this is a sign that you go try opening blender and make a donut >:)

Submitted(+2)

This is an extremely creative interpretation of the theme and was really fun! I loved the mechanic of fitting the game pieces to the 3d model.

Developer

thank you! it took forever to make, but I'm happy it worked out🥹 fun fact, the whole mechanic was actually born on a plane

Developer

aw i appreciate you fr!!

Did I just build my own game? That was a pretty neat modeling system. An indicator when placing the models to show what action mode you were in would have been really helpful.

Developer

Hello! Haha welcome to 3d art hell. We did originally plan for an indicator, but we ran out of time! Perhaps a post-jam update. Thanks for playing!!

Developer

thank you butters from south park :D

Developer

yessir you did! >:)
