How does your game fit the theme?
You must protect the embryo so it can grow as much as possible. As the embryo grows, the size of the area where you can build towers increases.

Clean animation and style! Felt very satisfying to put things down and watch enemies get blown up. It wasn't quite clear how much of your turrets get cleared when the embryo expands, and sometimes I get caught mid-wave with no turrets -- other than that, great base to build content on! :D

This is fantastic! Very much enjoy the art style and the level of polish - the game feels very complete. Like the commenter below, I found I was mostly spamming the first turret type. The tension that comes with the onslaught of enemy waves could be tempered a little by providing a little break - I found the pairing of a new wave with losing lots of my turrets simultaneously was a little too punishing at time (leading to the spamming of the first turret, and an aversion to experimentation).

Anyway, I think that's pretty minor - this is a very impressive entry and I had lots of fun playing it. Great work!

Thank you so much for the feedback!
You can still try out different turrets, as they all get stronger over time
For example, the maw can devour many enemies at once if you upgrade it :)

Oh cool! Will try again and look out for the upgrades. Particularly the maw, I think that was my favourite turret (even if I didn't use it much)

One of the best games i've played! I love the constant tension and the fast paced nature of it all. Only one criticism is that I would try to add some more variety to the turrets you should use, since i found myself passing all the levels by mostly spamming just the first turret type

Thank you, we know the balance needs some work—we just ran out of time!

We really wanted to polish the visuals and mechanics too :)

Wow, this is a brilliant concept and a well-executed game!  Not only are the vibes immaculate (art style and audio are excellent and fit the narrative theme nicely) but the gameplay loop is really cool.  I definitely found in challenging to react to my towers getting lost, but the power unlock of more surface area and "budget" is really cool.  I had two thoughts to make it even better: (1) I wonder if the time between consumption of your towers and next enemy spawns could be increased, so I could prep my defenses - like a break between rounds (maybe), and (2) I wonder if you could consume towers based on their proximity to the center, so that I could control which of my defenses "stayed alive" between rounds more easily (that may already be happening, not sure).  Overall, nicely done!

Wow, thanks for the detailed feedback! We’ll keep this in mind if we continue to develop the game in the future!

Cool concept and awesome art! Maybe found it a bit too easy, died once, then i felt like i knew everything. a text explaining the mechanics would have been nice probably, but still awesome for a 4 day jam

Very cool concept and even better artstyle. The atmosphere is very immersive, I love it. The gameplay is pretty cool and opens up lots of possibilities. A tutorial would have been useful to explain the gameplay.

Delightfully creepy little creatures! I had a lot of fun feeding eyeballs to the orb, and it's interesting balancing growing your defenses with accidentally starving yourself. Excellent!

Very nice art, and the game feels very well polished with beautiful animations!

Looks and feels great! I enjoyed it!

The submission I'm most interested about so far. Close to perfect design. I'm looking forward for updates

I never thought that a game could be so satisfying! I loved the art style and all of the mechanics. I didn't find any bugs either.

Didn't feel all that innovative for the genre. A bit too simple overall.

Really cool entry! loved how the embryo breaks up the traditional tower defense game-play loop by devouring your towers, and in the process upgrading the next ones! it keeps the field from feeling static which is super appropriate for the theming here. Very creative, well put together entry!

Hey! I really liked it! Played a lot longer than I intended. The art style looks very nice!

PVZ: SO that's the right way to gather sunshine in a hurry.

really good game, so well designed that can be published right now.

I had a lot of fun, since I kinda like tower defense games, but I think spamming the basic tower helps just as much as using the others though.

Game looks really good

Nice game! The animations are so pretty. I did manage to make it pretty far by just spamming a ton of the eyeball turrets so maybe it needs a bit of balancing, but it was still fun all the same. The art and music kept me playing for sure. Great work!
