Control of the car was pretty diffictult and the booster thing went down pretty quickly (at least in the beginning its hard to go above "default speed". But well made nonetheless! Driving on the inside of a sphere and the sphere shrinking was pretty unique :)
that was an unexpected twist on the theme! First I thought that it was just an arcade racing game and then I lost my first level and saw what was happening, I love it!
What a genius twist on the theme! Sometimes the car understeered a lot and I couldnt turn at all but besides that I didnt really encounter any bugs! What I would say though is that the different levels need something to mechanical to differentiate them so they are not only more interesting and varied but also more memorable.
But still great idea, great execution and Id love to see you expand (get it?) on that idea
Edit: Maybe an idea would be to make things like trees breakable at a certain size, so you can still have a shot at going to the speedlimit
thanks for the detailed feedback! as one comment suggested, i think i will make the goal “travel x distance” which will make it far more interesting.

This was a bizarre experience for sure, but not a bad one by any means. I do enjoy racing games but this more so devolved into fist fighting the physics engine being very goofy when things start to shrink. The controls are a little wonky and I imagine that too mostly just has to do with the bizarre circumstance of cramming a car inside a full sphere.
That being said I did have a fun time with the concept, it gets a little repeatitive and could've used a bit more variety between the levels but that what it be in a jam. The style is consistent and clean which I appreciate. I don't know how difficult it would be to polish the controls and the physics but I can see how you could expand the concept into a bigger scope if you get real ambitious with it, otherwise it was just alright as a little fun experience.
camera gave me a little motion sick by not being able to control it. Also Cursor.lockState = CursorLockMode.Locked; will hide the mouse. liked it BTW
Fun concept!
Cool game! I love the concept and the game felt pretty well polished.
It was a little difficult to get the hang of the controls and the first level felt too difficult. But I eventually got the hang of it and had a good amount of fun with it. Would be cool to add some more mechanics that give you speed boosts, like maybe speed pads. Or adding a drift mechanic that gives you a speed boost would be really cool (like in mario kart)
Overall really nice game!
The controls can be a bit wonky at times, but the idea is cool and the fact that getting the yellow spheres to speed up more becomes easier as the planets shrinks is good game design.
Thanks! That was the idea
Very interesting! Nice job :) Feel free to check out my submission too if you have the time!
Fun concept! My only problem was that it was either a perfect run from the beginning or if you crash I found it impossible to make up for the lost power
This game is simple but fun! The gameplay loop kinda reminds me of Outer Wilds of all things.
The car controls feel really smooth. Although it becomes quite hard to gain speed even if you keep to the roads. Some variation in goals could be good. Like, “collect X orbs” or “travel a total of X meters”.
Overall, great job!
oh my god, thats the piece i was missing. Travel x meters is such a better objective. I will definitely update the game to fit that. And you are the first one that got the Outer Wilds inspiration! Thank you so mich for your comment.
Ohh fresh concept! I usually don't like car games but it was a good experience! good job!
Thanks a lot!
Nice little game! Were the assets done in house?
The car was taken from the asset store, everything else was made by hand :)
Awesome game. Bit better Level design with same concept. More feedback on SFX. and Easy to understand levels or an endless mode will make it better imo.
thanks for the feedback!
cool game you creative concept
I couldn't pass level 2
Just finished the game. I really like the idea of driving inside a planet. The driving itself feels pretty great too. It messed a bit with my head at the beginning, but once you get used to it, it's really fun. The art style is also really cute.
As other people have already mentioned, a restart button would be realy useful.
Besides that, I think this is an awesome start. Good job!
thanks for playing all the way through! I really should have added a quick restart, i know.
Ay man. That's the game jam experience, you always miss the most obvious shit haha
A cool game I don't know about the drift part but It was a fun expirience. I would like a reset button tho as at some point the planet just becomes to small to get enough speed in a semi straight line.
yeah, i really wanted to add a restart but i just ran out of time. Also drift was just a cool name since it sounded better than breakout drive xd
The setting felt immediately original and interesting. Great concept and well executed!
Really enjoyed your take on the theme! Solid driving system and art style! Great work.
I'm on linux, so it took me a long time to figure out how to play this, but I eventually did. Now I know how to play windows games on linux!
I couldn't get past level 2. Is this inspired by hyperbolica? Eventually I was too big, I couldn't avoid any of the rocks and trees, though I feel like if I were that size, I should be able to just run over them all. Its fun to just collect orbs.
Thank you for trying so hard to play my game xd. Its actually not inspired by hyperbolica, but I can see the resemblance as driving on the inside of a sphere can feel a bit non-euclidean
