Excellent game, would have been amazing to revisit previous level to unlock capabilities with the ones you get over time like in a metroidvania style, great game!
I did actually want at first to create levels you could revisit! I quickly found it would be too much work and most people wouldn't even get to that point in the game, so I went for a more linear style to showcase the mechanics! :>
Thanks for rating! :D
Very nice platformer! The art was so pretty and the atmosphere was perfect. It felt a bit weird when I tried switching snake/bee scales and would find myself having to walking back and forth to places that worked, should have only thrown the error when trying to change size scales. Other than that small problem, it was perfect!
The thing is, the player only really has to change his power scales once in the game, and I thought making the message appear only once you fully committed into the UI would make it feel even more annoying, since you'd have to retry from the start everytime. I just find that preventing the UI from being opened at all when you can't switch makes people find it more responsive once they actually can change scales.
Like you said, it's just a small problem, but I thought I'd just share my thought process. ;)
What do you think?
Anyways, thanks for playing! :D
I liked this game, it's a chill little puzzle platformer with nice pixel art!
I liked the game, even had to think about the last level:). It's a pity that there is no volume control for background music. And also small bugs with the interface.
It was my first time adding music to a game, but I promise I'll do so next time! :D
Thank you for playing until the end!
A very cute and atmopsheric little game. I thought the equiping of the scales was a little convuleted at times, despite this, i enjoyed the creative takes on the different animal scales.
loved the vibes Ard ArtStyle !
nice little puzzles and mecanics on sizes !
aside the "bug" of interface (that is not a problem, its classic in jams ^^) nithinng goes in the way of ahving fun,
well done !
The UI interface being offset can simply be fixed by playing in fullscreen (It's the first thing written in the description!)
Thank you for playing! :>
I couldn´t equip the bunny scales in the first puzzle :'(
Press E to open and close the UI! Sorry if that may be unclear! :>
Experimentation is recommended!
Nice, now i could get further :)
Really nice puzzles and a soothing music. Good job!
Thank you for persevering! ;D
i really liked the puzzles! it was fun to figure out how to combine the scales in order to progress (i really appreciate having the burrows into the next room as a way to "scout" the puzzle too). i think some of the UI could be better marked (the burrows confused me at first because they were very similarly colored to the normal dirt blocks) all in all, really cool game!
The UI definitely has its issues, and, with a little more time, it is true I could've added some "subtitles".
Hope you played until the end! :>
I really liked the vibe and the simple art style. It would be nice if the description mentioned the controls. Overall great work for a solo dev.
Thanks for the advice!
I just added a few clues in the description of my game for those who get stuck! :D
I love this style and music! Last challenge was a bit too challenging, but i figured it out at last. Game has potential to grow, i think!
Controls are not really comfortable, as pressing "A" + "Shift" is tricky. Luckily i could use arrows too, it saved the day.
Thank you for game! I would appreciate if you will try my game too :3
Amazing game, I must say. I love puzzles, and the artstyle and music was fantastic. Controls are pretty intuitive as well.
One question, though... what on Earth does the bee scale do?
The bee scale is the last scale you unlock, and it grants you a double jump! There are fireflies which give a subtle hint if you look closely in the level ;)
Hope this helps! :D
It's very cute, though I was confused by the controls and scales somewhat. I really love the art
It was a very good game. The pixel art is beautiful. I enjoyed playing it, I was confused at times, but it was really cool, it kept me engaged for a while.
One of the best games I've played during this jam.
My only issue is that it was not immediately obvious what each scale does and that they can be combined.
Great game anyway!
Really nice little game! Nice art style, simple controls, perfect length for a jam game.
As other said, I feel like there could be a better simpler way to switch scales, and the scale selection UI bugs on different resolutions, but other than that I really enjoyed it, nice job!
Thank you for telling me about the scaling issue! That kind of stuff just happens when you put up your game on itch I guess :L
I'm happy to see that everyone understood the UI eventually, even without clear instructions :>
Loved the visuals on this game, especially the little falling pixel-leaves! I wish you could change scales a little more fluidly than opening a menu each time, but it was still fun regardless. I noticed the scale menu had a bug where you could hover over nothing on the right side while in fullscreen, and both sides when out of fullscreen (I think the latter was just a visual bug as it would change scales as normal).
Yeah, for what is of the visual bug in the menu I wasn't able to fix it as it happens randomly when you pickup a new scale! Fortunately it is just visual! :P
Thank you for this thoughtful comment though!
I got stuck on a hole and i couldn't change scales or jump but i really enjoyed it, it's awesome and the art style is just beatiful

I removed all instances of places where you can't progress because of it, you need 3 blocks high in space ;).
But glad you enjoyed! :D
The pixel art is gorgeous, and the title screen music is very mysterious.
Deeply enjoyed it. Stunning ambiance and visuals. Maybe it was a bit too short, but given that it's for a game jam and some of the puzzles took me a decent while, it's definitely fine. Congrats on this piece of art!
I prefer it when players want more than when they have too much! Thanks for taking the time to write this comment, this community is so nice ;D
