How does your game fit the theme?
Scale Event Starting! is a game that is constantly in action, as you can tell from the name of the game. The main reason for this action is the event system and boss battles that take place every 10 seconds. Designing the events and organizing the boss battles fits in with the GMTK Game Jam 2024 “Built to Scale” theme as Scale means that the character is in scale (power-up), the dimensions are in scale, the time is in scale, the music is in scale and of course the battles are in scale.

Give it some time, you'll get used to it. Just try to be careful to use Shift and Space keys.

Really well polished! I enjoyed how it was chaotic and how the gameplay was constantly changing. One suggestion I have is to make the camera to stay infront of the player, in the direction of were the mouse is pointing so you can see your enemies better. Anyway, welldone, I enjoyed it :)

Very frenetic and cool visuals and music! Also curious about the cover art mentioned below. If it's AI generated, don't weigh yourself down with that slop -- you've got a cool thing going already.

Fun game with a great style and good audio as well. I liked the variety of enemies and I think the difficulty is a good ramp which is really hard to get right in such a short time. I'm really worried this will get disqualified because the itch cover art for the game looks AI generated. I know the rules state no generative AI is allowed, and I'm not sure what the rules are regarding cover art for the itch page, even if no generative AI was used in the actual game itself (I presume). Perhaps it's best to change the cover art to something not AI generated just to be safe. (Unless I'm wrong and it's not AI?) Regardless, great job with this game.
As you mentioned, none of the assets and designs in the game content were designed by artificial intelligence, they were made by our designer friend in our team. Since they referred to them as game assets and we had to publish the game until the last minute, it was kept with this design as the cover. If there is a problem, I hope they will find it with us because there is no such situation in the game, it is only on the cover of itch.io. Thank you for the notification anyway. This issue made us a little nervous after you mentioned it...

I really enjoied it, it was very fun to play and still challenging sometimes! The power ups in my opinion lasted for a very small time, and i couldn't use them as a real advantage most of the times, but still nice game!
Some of the events provide advantages and some disadvantages, we wanted it to be in constant motion to match the speed of the game, so you can use these features every 10 seconds as long as the text above stops. Thank you for trying our game!
Very gimmicky, in a fun way. Surprising how you managed to make this many features in 96 hours.

Now that's some hefty amount of juice. The game's a lot of fun, though some power-ups are much cooler than others (looking at you, god-mode). Nice job :)

I love how absolutetly random this game is, so many effects happening on screen, all at once ;-)
All the different weapons also really spiced up the gameplay once in a while.
Minor nitpick: That huge wall of text at the start is almost not readable because of the font, but I got the gist of what it wanted to tell me.
