How does your game fit the theme?
Built to Scale is a puzzle-platformer where players must strategically manipulate platforms to escape five enchanted forest locations. The key challenge lies in balancing the scaling of platforms and the totem—the only exit. As platforms are scaled up by clicking arrows, the totem scales down, making it harder to escape. Missteps can trap you forever if the totem sinks below ground! The game explores creative spatial manipulations, with later levels introducing 3D rotations to clear paths. A unique art style with dynamic scaling and toon shading adds a trippy visual twist, enhancing the surreal experience. Plan carefully—your moves are limited!

Nice puzzles and good setting and vibe, well done :)
Glad you like the puzzles! It took quite some time to design them haha
Very creative game.
thaank you!
Love the way the game looks! Its really unique and fun to look at.
thank you!

Wow, looks really good! Pleasantly surprised, this is really unique game, would love to play the full version if possible :)
thanks, yeah, I'll defiently work on it even after the jam
Love the art style! The shading looks really nice!
thanks! yeah, spent quite some time working on the toon shader adjustments..
great art and concept. Nothing mattered to me i am already impressed.
hahah thanks @Kaustav!
I love the look and feel of the game! The controls are very weird on WebGL though, I wish they were better because i would have loved to play this game all the way through
thanks! yeah, the windows build does not have the cursor issue..
Getting constant Level Failed message on second lever after scaling platform down :( But nice artstyle and music. Good job!
yeah, that's as intended . That's because you "wasted" all the moves and the totem scaled so much that now it's under the ground (meaning you can't enter it anymore/escape the level hence the level is failed). Don't wanna spoil it, but you must do something else when the bottom one is scaled up. The level 2 must be solved in max 2 moves otherwise you'll get that fail message
I love the world you make. it's so hard to make a 3d with such mechanics. Great job!
Web control a little weird as a pity.
Thank you !
Yeah, didn't manage to polish them on time unfortunately, as I mentioned in one of the comments below, on Monday and Tuesday I was doing this in parallel with my regular 9-5 job (full stack .NET dev)... so it was... chaotic to say the least... haha
But I'll definitely work on this game even after the jam is done regardless of the outcome! All these comments are truley helpful, . Based on the comments I've gotten so far, I'll definitely:
1. add the option for mouse sensitivity
2. fix colliders issue (platforms + finishline trigger)
3. fix the cursor not locking issue (though this should be working fine in the windows build)
let me quote what i heard in slay the princess: that's the spirit!
The only problem I can point out is the controls in the web version of the game. Otherwise, the visual style is wonderful, the design, the idea as a puzzle is very interesting, the moves restrictions are fair so it's really fun to play
thanks!
This was such a cool game. I loved the concept and execution. I've seen plenty of platformers, plenty of puzzle games, but not that many puzzle platformers in 3D during this jam. The overall feel is very polished. Great job!

Without a doubt, this seems to be the game with the best vibe in the entire game jam. It's not just the art—though that's incredible—but the sound design too. Together, they create an atmosphere that pulls you into an otherworldly, surreal experience, almost like stepping into a dream, as others folks have noted already , like an alternative reality that feels both strange and captivating. A perfect 10/10 IMO. Has a huge potential to be scaled up in the future (pun intended) , congratz!
P..S The controls did work better in the Windows build and I had no mouse-lock issues, but I did have issues in the web version.
the visuals here are so cool! think the movement and camera controls need some tweaking though. and please lock the mouse! made it very difficult with a visible mouse not bound to the centre
Wow, this is a solid entry! I enjoyed the gameplay and you deffo nailed the Art Style and Sound Design!
A Nice 5/5 on my books!
woah, thanks a lot! I did grab some sounds from the freesound.org (as I mentioned in the credits section), but then I post-edited them all in sony vegas (which is a video editing tool haha as I don't know how to work in FL studio) to match the game's theme and vibe precisely the way I wanted. I Basically just applied a bunch of FX modifiers like reverb, distortion or equalizers , and tweaked the knobs until it sounded like it matches the trippy visuals
Very cool 👍
thank you!

for a game jam game, this has extremely good visuals... the best I've seen so far out of all games I've tested in this jam, congratz man !
thanks!
Really interesting aesthetic you have here, good job on the game!
thank you!
Neat looking game. I think gameplay needs some more polish but I had fun nonetheless. Good job.
thanks!
Very interesting style, unique. Good luck with the jam :)
thank you! :D
as far as enjoyment, i wouldn't necessarily say i had a bad time, though i do feel as though the collision everything was janky. i was clipping through walls, getting my momentum stopped by arrows on the floor, and was struggling to climb the ladder in level 2. i would say it was decently creative. a very simple concept, yes, but one that allowed for a lot of puzzle opportunity. where this game really shines is the artistic style. this game, even on the web version, looks gorgeous. it is such a unique art style with so many cool shaders, and the general atmosphere was really good, especially for a game jam entry
Thank you a lot!
A quick "workaround" for sticking on arrows (or other colliders )- is simply to jump a couple of times, it's awful, I know, but unfortunately I didn't have time to fix it as I basically solo developed the whole thing (my friend got sick on the first day of the jam)
