felt like there should be more to do, but it’s fine for what it is.
What do you mean? The game lasts around 30 minutes, but admittedly the starting tutorial isn't clear on the steps to do after unlocking the first bridge.
i meant the game ends before you actually set foot on the volcano
unfortunately there's a bug that starts the ending cutscene if you step in the area behind the volcano mansion ahead of time (fixed in the downloadable version). Maybe that's what you encountered
Creative concept! The dialogue kept me going. Had fun stumbling my way into where I’m supposed to be in the map.
Thanks, ahaha! Yeah, the dialogue can be a nice incentive in making the player intrested in continuing. The puzzles can be a little tough, so I'm expecting people to stop playing at different spots.
I really liked the core concept, very clever and well-designed!
Without spoiling too much to people that haven't played it yet, let's say that I appreciated the multiple twists of the core mechanic. ;)
Thanks a lot!
It took maybe too much time to design the main mechanic and to program it, but since it's the core part of a game it's always worth it. Just to say it was pretty close.
Great game, love the use of tropes and the dialogue. The music in each area also sells that old school RPG vibe. Amazing job!
Thanks! I had lots of fun writing the dialogue. XD
This was the most creative idea I've seen this jam! I loved it so much, and the puzzles were really fun to figure out!
Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The intresting part is that I thought about the main puzzle mechanic of creating a path only halfway trough the jam, otherwise the game would've been much more simplistic.
A fun take on classic RPG's. Love it!
Thanks! I got inspired by some videos with a similar concept. XD
Really fun twist on an RPG trope! Nicely put together
Thanks, happy you liked the idea! C:
Nice job! I enjoyed the writing and the footstep puzzles were well done, though required a bit of backtracking 😅
By the end of it the mother was definitely a little terrifying 😂
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, some parts unfortunately require some amount of backtracking, I'll see if I can reduce the amount when I'll update the game! C:
(THE MOTHER sends her regards)
PETALOSO!
this game is insane. really dig the goofy plot and dialogue, and it was fun getting across the map through being comically massive.
Ah yes. Just me, my jam entry and my abnormally massive protagonist.
Thanks, I'm happy you enjoied it! C:
Very fun take on the theme and creative mechanics! Great job
Thanks for your comment! C:
5 stars! one of my favorite games of this jam, good job :)
Whoooah, thanks a lot! You make me happy! C:
I love how meta this game is. The puzzles were difficult, but the dialogue was clever and hilarious and kept me interested throughout the game.
Thanks, I'm happy you liked it! I'm glad the lack of proofreading didn't turn you off. XD
I couldn't seem to make it out of the first area after becoming small (I might just be really stupid), but funny mechanic. I love how you move at the same speed when you are normal sized so you end up being incredibly fast.
Thanks for trying the game! I didn't really explain it well, but you're supposed to open the map by returning to normal size. I should make it more clear in the update. C:
Very clever and hilarious narrative experience! Some of the mechanics were a bit awkward (the growing large with the world map stands out particularly) but on the whole very well done!
Thanks! I'm happy you enjoyed it! C:
This was a blast to play, and some of the puzzles were real head-scratchers but I got to the end eventually. I did notice a few typos in some of the dialogue, particularly in the ending cutscene, but it was otherwise pretty funny and added to the silly romp that the game felt like. The Mother is low-key terrifying lol
Thanks! Yeah, unfortunately I didn't have any time to proofread the game, I'm fixing it when the voting ends. I wanted to add some character to the antagonist dialogue, but I only did it at the end with like 2 intentional typos (like k for c), but I did it only trice so it feels out of the blue.

THE MOTHER
Hey, of all the issues to pop up in a gamejam game, some typos are not bad at all.
I love the take on the theme, has some funny parts, and I was so shocked that while on the map I could zoom out and leave footprints on the ground. The little conversations the main character has with herself is also pretty funny. :)
Thanks! I was worried I went a little too far with the footprints, but at least they sort a nice effect! XD
Didn't expect this game to be this cool! Fun experiment with scale, quite unique!
Thanks a lot! I had lots of fun making the game, even if I rushed the testing and spellcheck. XD
really liked the idea! i see you put some time on the jokes it was really funny
Thanks, ahaha! I always love making jokes! XD
Oh no! seems like something is wrong with the game submission? Just get a error message "TypeError: $gameVariables is null" when loading it :c sad looks really cool in the screenshoots
Sometimes it works after reloading. The browser version is kinda sloppy, I suggest the downloadable version.
Ah! yes it does! nice thanks!
