solid concept! Adding a tiny amount of momentum to the movement could help it to feel more I think, while still focusing on the platforming aspect of the game.

Really cool visual effect, maybe a maybe a badass music would improve the feels

Submitted

A bit sluggish to play. Interesting concept, even if incomplete. Good job and good luck!

BIG fan of slime games :)

Nice theme interpretation, Player speed is a little too slow but besides that everything looks cool and fun to play. Congrats!

Developer(+1)

the reason the speed is slow is because in testing the player would fly around uncontrollably

Submitted(+1)

A cool take on the theme the speed is an issue though I think, especially since it makes replaying the level when dying a bit tedious. I also could not figure out how to beat the second level, I just kept falling through the pipe at the end. But I did manage to sequence break it (I think), by just mashing the spacebar, which lets you jump off of the breaking platform.

Overall a pretty solid game though, well done!

Developer(+1)

the second level is bugged and cannot be completed! that is why you couldn’t finish it.

Submitted(+1)

Definitely a little buggy, but the concept is great! It would feel a lot better if the slime moved faster at larger scales. It also feels very underwhelming that at a massive size, I die to the tiny pink rectangle.

Nice game concept. I agree that it would be even more fun if the moving speed would be increased. The sponges are very nice. I have enjoyed playing it!

Cool and simple!
I would suggest to increase player speed to improve engaging.
Also, unconsistent pixel art style makes overall presentation a little bit off.

But the design and implementation is solid! Great job!
Check our game, too!

Nice platformer, I like the sponge idea. The game was a bit slow for me though, also a bit of background music would go a long way to make it more enjoyable

I like it, the idea is simple but cool, slimes are cute, the art is okay, the sfx could be better, I like the theme of it.

Solid entry

Love the feedback of mechanics, it's a good design, cool.

A bit fiddly but can't complain it's a charmingly good game. Well done.

The mechanics here are pretty cool, I like being able to jump up much higher and collect that sort of power. The tradeoffs for certain things are interesting. There are some weird control issues like when you get a lot of jump power I bounced backwards. The jumping over obstacles is very precise and the obstacles aren't very clear. The sounds are a bit dry, like it doesn't sound like much was done with them to create them. It is a bit strange that there is large, loud intro music and then no in-game music. Overall, fun concept that could use  some tuning on the mechanics.

Developer

if you jump too close to a wall you get bounced back

Really like the mechanic of dropping slime balls to get through places. Lots of potential for level design!

The game was nice, aside from the slow player speed which made the levels seem longer. It felt a bit awkward not resetting the whole level when the player died, but the game felt pretty interesting overall and I would have liked to play past level 2. Great job with the parts that did work though!

Developer

we felt it wasn’t nessacary because you can reset from the menu at any time, so we just didn’t get around to it.

Submitted

Cool game. There is a bug, that if you die from fall, slime doesn't restet, so you can be soft locked.

Developer

you can reset from the pause menu at any time

Submitted

Slime for the win.

Submitted

Platformer with cool concept, but would be better if you could finish second level and also after you die, level doesn't really reset completely (you could manually reset so it was fine though). Good work.

Developer

the second level is only incompletable due to a bug!

Submitted

Cool platformer, it was just too slow for me
