Okay I'm surprised by how smooth the controls are!! Especially for being in Scratch!! Couldn't explore everything for sake of time! Played at https://twitch.tv/hedge_in <3 vod Day 4 @ 5:29:48

Aw, sad I missed the stream…

Thanks for playing it though! :D

No idea how you managed to pull this off in Scratch, but that's insanely impressive. Great job!

Developer

Thanks! Sometimes I would just watch youtube videos on tips for devs and I would just think things like “Godot has a tile engine?”

Honestly though the challenges of trying to code all the physics in Scratch kind of makes it more fun to me, even though it does eat up so much time in a game jam lol

Very nice game. The movements and feedback gave it a really polished feel. This is a great base for something bigger. Good job!

Developer

Thx for the feedback! Glad you liked it :)

Great game! movement is very intuitive. That last jump was really hard and took me a few tries :).

cool concept that i am sure can be built into a nice full game with some more time.

I am generally fond of playing minimalistic or simplistic games like this, they are easy to play, and in some cases fun. And this submission is one of the fun cases! Although there are limited levels, it still gave me joy to play seeing the character almost rag doll when falling off the platform and trying to jump my way up was fun! Great job on the game, it being made with scratch is already a wow!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! :)

Great game ! I love the simple but beautiful art, the gameplay is quite amazing as well ! First game i see that was made with scratch ! Keep up the good work :)

Me too, Remy, me too.

Jokes aside, I really like the player controller; it felt incredibly responsive. It was also really satisfying with the rotation. I like how it shows all the different attributes of the player. That's something I haven't seen so far.  Definitely a unique idea!

The only thing I would have liked to see was some audio, but since I saw you had to balance development and school, this is already pretty cool. I would love to see more levels.

Overall, I think this is an awesome start if you plan to expand it more in the future.

Good job!

Developer

Thanks, I am planning on making a full version in the future so lets hope that goes well :)

Well the game is really cool. I enjoyed a lot the style that you used. And btw, well done for making it in scratch. Also the theme interpretation is quite interesting. Great job.

Developer

Thanks! :>

the game has a really cool vibe to it, for sure (poor remy)! and the  fact that it's made in scratch is astounishing. music and sfx would make this a really awsome game!!

Developer

thanks!! yeah, sadly i tried to add music to my game, but then i added the wrong file, the file before the music was added ;-;

Very fun concept! Free Remy from his pain please. Great work :)

Developer

remy will never be freed >:)    thank you for the feedback! :)

Really cool that it is built in Scratch! There's a bit of wit that makes it have some charm. My one comment is to possibly have the camera the slightest bit more zoomed out to see where the player can go next.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I'll make the camera a bit more zoomed out in the finished version :)

I want to give cheese to the poor rat ; _ ;

This is a very clean and responsive Scratch game, I'm impressed! I can't use Scratch for the life of me lol.

I love precision platformers and this definitely made that spot of my brain tingle! The only thing I'd want to change here is a quicker stop time, it can be a bit slidey at times and it makes it hard to pull of multiple successive jumps.

Great job!

Developer

Thanks! True, adding some sort of friction when you land onto a platform would make it a lot easier to play. I'll keep this in mind when I make another game like this in the future :)

Damn, didn't think anyone actually would make something in scratch. Sick game!! Rat.

Developer

Thanks!
