It was a cool game!

This game is very fun and easily enjoyable. It's simple, it's appealing to play, it provides challenge but player controls the difficuly themselves by choosing to combine movement and go fast or not. It also looks very nice, simple but solid style. Minor issue is how physics and gameplay is not polished enough. In a game like this, you really need to add sound (and maybe visual) ques to express movement in an intuitive way, sound of jump, landing, screen effect to express speed, everything that helps a player feel where they are and where they go at every moment. And man, you NEED air control. Good job, I hope you continue to improve and develop awesome games!

Very good chaotic fun!

I liked that the difficulty increased each level. I also liked the music and the art as well. good job!

I enjoyed playing this game. The art is simple but quite effective, and the sound effects are nice as well. Also, I liked how you interpreted the theme, great job.

Hey that was fun! Congrats on your first game, and congrats on making it in time for your first game jam! Keep up the good work, I wish you the best in your GameDev journey! :)

Developer

thanks!

An interesting and fun concept, but somewhat hard to execute in the actual game, as the movement is a little rough around the edges and the needle hitboxes are hard to hit.

Some polish suggestions:

  • Use a spell-checker :-)
  • Make it clear that the rooms are timed (maybe using a digital clock and/or clock sound effects, especially once the time starts to run out?)
  • More sound effects - and particularly a variety of sound effects for the same action (e.g. the shooting sound effect gets repetitive).

Good job!

great concept and execution love the little notes you left around the level!!

Such a good concept!

Interesting idea! The only suggestions that I would give is that a lot of the UI was a bit messy, as in some of the text was blurry, the text for the backstory of the game is way too big, and the reset menu had the game title clipped, making it not be shown all the way. One last thing is to have an option to decrease the mouse sensitivity, it is a bit strong. The levels are quite fun though, good job on your game! :)

Coold Idea. Picking up the one on the ground next to the bed felt kinda weird since you have to crouch which didnt feel very natural. Otherwise good job!

Love how goofy it is, the music fits very well, good job!

Developer

by goofy you mean fun or you mean that the game sucks

Submitted(+1)

I meant that it embraces the chaotic nature of the physics interactions, similarly to titles like Moving Out. Definitely had fun with it :)

Developer

oh sorry

The movement is a little rough, but overall I want to say congratulations for making a game solo in 96 hours at your age! I started when I was a few years older, and since then have had a lot of fun learning about programming and collaborating with other game developers. Keep sticking with it! I also recommend joining a group for future game jams, because they become a lot more fun when you can talk to people with similar interests and come up with interesting ideas together.

Pretty good idea! I would like to be able to scroll trough the dialogue cus it was a bit fast sometimes to read it all.

I love the idea of the game . The style is pretty good too . Well done .

Best of luck :)

A pretty neat idea, well executed.

Really epic game, I really liked the art style

Are there more than the first level? When I get the 5th needle the game just stops and tells me to restart or go to the menu and I dont have options to advance.

I liked playing around with the shrink gun, one thing I would do to improve it is either increase the mass on the objects or freeze their positions so they don't go flying around the room when you lightly push them.

To finish a level you have to collect all the needles and walk thro the door in time

Really fun game, my only complaint is you can’t move after jumping.

This reminds me of some classic ps1 games from my childhood! It's a good take on the theme and I enjoyed playing it. I couldn't get past the 3rd level because I felt like the timer was a bit short to collect all 11 syringes. Also the gun refills should be a different colour to the syringes because from a distance it can be hard to tell what is your target to complete the level.  Oh and some control of movement while in the air would be a great addition. Hopefully you keep working on this some more when the jam is over because I think with a few small changes this could be a really fun little game, but overall a good submission! GG
