Really great idea for a game, and the design of the cards is amazing! It was fun learning which cards worked best against others, and choosing strategic targets to buff.
Wow. Normally I'm a more action/fighter based genre but this game has made me appreciate other methods of gameplay.
I also love the animations of the attacks, they feel snappy and satisfying, even if it is me being destroyed xD.
And the dice roll is well-implemented giving enough control to the player whilst maintaining the luck feeling in the game.
Overall, superb game!
Suuper cool game !! I haven't seen that many card based games in this jam so far , But his one was really well executed !!
The graphics and animations were on point , the gameplay as well was thought-out and well built
Good Stuff Overall , Had a good time playing the game , (5/5) :))
I wasn't really good at the game, but it still was super fun!
The idea is unique s far and pretty enjoyable! I really have fun with the game!
Great job!
There were two of us. We both tried yours. Great concept!
Very well made and entertaining, has a lot of mechanics to be made in only 48 hs! Good job!
Visited because you said you made an autobattler.
This has a lot more strategy and thinking than mine, and I enjoyed it a lot. Once I figured out how to properly allocate my army, I was able to get a swift victory. I could see this being an interesting multiplayer/competitive game.
Where the game struggles is presentation. A huge amount of text at the start was hard to understand. I think the tooltip about being able to move dice between trays was far more informative than the entire text wall at the start.
The sounds were ok, but I didn't like the "Ow" sound.
The music was good, but could be improved.
Rather than rolling for army cards, I think I would prefer a traditional deck mechanic. You place which cards you want into the deck, and use the same auto battler system
The powers system also felt underpowered. I usually just stacked 4 dice into the army tray.
I wish I didn't have to move the dice to the trays I wanted after every turn.
Excellent base gameplay, but could use some polish in the sound and tutorial department.
Ah, thanks for coming to visit! I agree with the tutorial feedback especially. We threw the tutorial in with 10 minutes left and it definitely could be trimmed down and optimized with more time.
We have the only auto battlers I've seen so far and it's interesting just how different they are. Best of luck to you in cracking the top 100!
A very fun game. The art was really well polished and love how it fits with the game. The gameplay was really engaging and it left me wanting more. I feel like the dice didn't play that much of a role with your game because there wasn't that much of importance to choose which dice should go where. I constantly put 3 in army and 1 in power. Even with that constructive criticism, in the end of the day you made an amazing game in just two days especially the art. Overall, an engaging game. Good luck on the jam!
🎲 Very well rounded game and really impressive for a two-people team! The art fits together well, the animations make it very satysfying and snappy. I also appreciated the tutorial. Great cherry on top. Good mechanics and nice gameplay. Hope to see you on top of the leaderboard! 💙❤️
Cool game, love to see some turn-based card action in this theme!
The gameplay is so addictive. Love the idea
An all around wellrounded game. The art looks great, the gameplay is juicy, the mechanics are not too hard to understand. I managed to win my second round.
However I feel like the connection to the theme is a bit on the low side, as anything could've been used to roll a random card / power and dice don't play a role beyond that. Then again there are 6 cards and 3 powers soo... Pretty good! :D
Thanks! We had so many more ideas (doubles granting super powers, units granting more dice or improving powers) but y'know...time limits.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ah yes, the dreaded time limits... The reason our game only has coins to pick up and no enemies or similar things going on. xD
But the camera movement around a 2D world on a 3D cube just took too much of our time.
Very polished game, love the art style and animation. Kept running into wanting to use the 4th dice every turn, and its quite difficult to understand what the effects of the different cards would be (lots of tracking in your head while playing), which made it hard to develop a "good" strategy (I lost all 3 games).
The animations, art style, and sound design go hand in hand and it's a sight to behold. While I suck at your game, I admire the complex yet easy-to-learn game play. Nice submission!
Really fun! I liked the animations a lot
You really understood it very quickly. The game is a lot of fun and one of the best I've found here at GMTK 2022 so far!
Nice take on a card game, the attack order was a bit confusing at first. Graphics looks great!
Ah yeah, the lower attack units go first!
Nice concept. Card design is very cool.
Win 2 rounds, still confuse about attack order.
Hey thanks for playing.
Attack order is based of the cards attack power. the higher the later they go.
It's confusing haha.
super awesome concept and very well executed! i love that bell sound haha, well done friend!
