Feels like it would be a good multiplayer game. But it's not, and I couldn't play with anyone. Presentation is kinda good, I like visual and audio effects, kinda fits
Wonderful presentation of the golf game with dice. I like the small objects around the golf course! Good animations and ambient sound as well as a clear goal. A complete and lovable game.
Really cool game mechanic and end goal. Too bad I wasn't able to play with a friend--I can see this becoming a fun little local multiplayer game. If development were to continue, would love to see some more environments around the play area rather than it being in the sky, but completely makes sense since it was a short turn-around. All in all, really enjoyable. Good job^^
A simple yet fun game, requires a bit of forethought before a move. From a visual standpoint which is closer to what I know about, there is a bit of jarring difference in style from the dice and the rest of the terrain. The colour palette could have been tweaked a bit to create more harmonious looking levels. Otherwise a good attempt
You are right on the visual thing. I did plan to change the dice model with the one I built for this game, but something went wrong (the model used in the first phase had faces randomly stamped, and the opposite sides didn't add up to 7) so I panicked and went to correcting the model in place instead of fixing my model and swapping it. As for the rest, I would also do it differently if I did it again.
Nice concept! Really liked the fact that you can move the camera around as well, that makes it so much easier to figure out which move to make next. Overall really nice game and I think it deserves some very good reviews!
As advertised in the title, it's dice in golf. The level design are well made and the player feedback are awesome. Would've liked to have played a lot more levels, but I understand since it's a jam. Highly enjoyable game !
Creative idea for a puzzle game with the player numbers deciding turn length!!! Great Job. :D
Wow what an awesome idea, and great job implementing it! Especially considering you did it solo!
I can imagine the awesome levels and other mechanics that could be made with it if you had more time, but anyway the ones here were great.
Interesting concept. There is definitely some strategy involved.
I found a bug where the dice can get teleported under the map after you get it in the hole and can still roll afterward.
Thanks for the comment. I've found and fixed this bug (99% of the time happens on retina or very high-resolution displays), but the jam was already over.
That kind of golf is pretty interesting!
I like that in addition to the usual rolling into the hole, it makes moving the dice a secondary goal (although for me both are primary) in order to give the next dice more steps.
When I was trying to get through a level with buttons and two bridges, it reminded me of golf on the Nintentdo Wii. I kept getting so many moves that I couldn't put another dice on the button. It reminded me of the perpetual misses past the hole when trying to make the final shot. It was funny :D
I like the idea. it was unique and very smart, but I think it was a bit easy. I didn't really have to think about what I should do. and controls weren't so smooth. great game overall.
Very polished! The mechanic is similar to some other entries, but here the experience is really pleasant!
Mini-golf puzzler with dice? Yes please. I enjoyed scratching my head over some of these holes and actually appreciated the lack of randomness. Nice one!
Nice puzzle! Love the lowpoly aesthetic here. The progression of the levels is very correct, it amicably leads the player to difficult levels. Well done for participation!
A really beautiful game, that uses the dice's faces and doesn't really introduce RNG to it - which makes this a fresh experience during this jam! Really loved the level designs, especially where you introduced new mechanics as the player progresses. You also did not restrict the amount of moves a player can take harshly - for example, by not allowing extra moves past a certain point - but rather, you give them a goal to strive for (the par score). Loved how thoughtful you were about that! The audio and art were not too fancy, however they were really effective and created a really nice atmosphere to the game!
Thank you, and thank you for playing the game on your stream!
This was a fun little puzzle game! It chugged a little, so could def use some optimization, but a solid game concept overall.
Thanks for the coments! What screen did you play it on? I've noticed it chugging on retina screens. Did a fair share of optimizations for these screens, but after the jam was over.
Ah, that's def the problem then - I don't have a retina display, but I do have a really high resolution screen.
This is a creative idea! Would have liked a bit more control over camera, but overall it's very fun!
The limited control was on purpose, so perhaps it wasn't the most clever idea. Adding a free float camera was perhaps easier than what was done here, but I did want the player to be able see the sides of the dice by pressing Q and E, but then have to subtract from 7 to figure out what's on the 2 sides (bottom and the one facing away from camera) they cannot see. Thanks for your comment, I really enjoyed your game.
Aaah love the mini-golf aesthetic! Looks absolutley fabulous and the movement feels great as well, with a nice touch of puzzlesolving!
Great work! :D
I got into a point that the counter of one of the dice didn't disapear, so I controlled an invisible dice.
Yeah, it's a bug mostly happening on high-dpi (retina) screens. I've found it only after the rating period started, so I couldn't upload a fixed version. Sorry for that.
Wow! This game is really clever! The idea of getting the number of moves equal to the number of the die is so great! Good work!
