Super fun game, I love the aesthetics, the music, and the concept. Some minor troubles with shooting phase when enemies are too close or with some obstacles, but other than that I really enjoyed it. I lost at 3rd phase with 276 I think. Nice done in two days !
Wonderful job for the time, but a few niggles damaged my experience of the game. Things like overlapping dice that are hard to select, unresponsive UI buttons etc. Didn't really figure out why the restart button took a while to respond, and I almost gave up after the first gambling phase as I couldn't see how to continue.
After saying that, I still had a bit of fun playing the game. I like two-phase games like this, especially when each phase affects the other (this game doesn't quite do that - the shooting doesn't really affect the gambling as far as I could see). I love the core concept and the presentation is superb, but the shooting phase is a little hard. If the enemies got more powerful over time, as you leveled up playing the gambling game perhaps that would address the issues?
Still, a fantastic achievement in the two days!
Thanks for playing and thank you for the in-depth feedback!
The enemies do actually scale for each gambling phase you entered, but I think it is a little unforgiving in early stages right now if you don't get the best weapon upgrades. The bugs you have mentioned are things we have been struggling with but sadly didn't get time to get just right before the deadline, which of course is a shame.
Again thanks for the feedback. It is very valuable in case we decide to make a post-jam version some time in the future :).
Amazing work! Love the art and presented. Feels amazing and it is very fun!
Thank you so much, drreww! :D
Haha- wonderfly frenetic and awesome presentation (something about the run/walk animation made me chuckle!)!
haha Thank you, tomputer! I love later in the game when the animation speeds up and they're all bouncing around super fast! xD
The people in this bar take their Yahtzee very serious... :-D
Yes iffalsepanic, Yahtzee is a very serious game, and playing it at a bar is no laughing matter! hehe
Really fantastic use of the theme. The gambling phase is super interesting to unlock new abilities and it was fun becoming incredibly overpowered with the revolver. I also like how you use cards to represent health. Plus the art is very charming. Really nice work team :)
Thank you so much, Schu! (*^▽^*)
Ohhh its like dice poker very good idea! The combat is pretty fun and the story has the right amount of ridiculousness for me, nice entry =)
Haha thank you!! \(^o^)/
What is yahtzee??
Five of the same dice-face!
The power ups that you gain by doing certain combination of dice adds a cool extra layer of strategy to the Yahtzee! I think you could make the bar-fight gameplay interact more with the yahtzee part (like gaining extra dice by killing a boss for example).
Ooh, good thought! I like the idea and I think it would have been a cool thing to add :D
Wow, super impressive. Really enjoyed playing, it's obvious a lot of care was taken into making a really good jam game.
Thank you very much! I'm glad that you could see that and enjoyed playing it! (*´▽`*)
Gorgeous work! You deserve to make the top 20!
Gorgeous work! You deserve to make the top 20!
Thank you!! I hope we get there too! :D
Incredible effort. Both the shooting and gambling parts of the game feed into each other and feel complete and polished. Gambling mechanic as a powerup phase is neat and well implemented. Art and audio are also really great.
Thank you so much! (*^0^*)
Cool! Very polished, fun concept. The gambling phase is that much better because of the 3d physics with the dice. I think the camera should move towards where you're aiming, to give a better view of the action. Well done!
Yes, I love the 3d dice too! And moving the camera towards where you're aiming is a good idea! :D Thank you!
Really fun! And quite hard
hehe yes, I agree! My highest score isn't very high (^_^;) the programmers are really good at it tho haha. Thank you!
I'm a big fan of the Yahtzee mechanic, and the presentation is wonderful! If the gambling phase had a bigger effect on the combat phase, I think it would make the strategizing have a higher risk/reward factor.
Thank you! I personally agree with you about the gambling phase. I feel like it would be nice to maybe update and polish the game a little bit, later on. :)
Love the animations and art style! The relationship between the combat and gambling phases is straight forward and makes the game fun and unique.
Thank you so much! Loved the art style of your game too!
Great job
Thanks! :)
The character animations are great and the usage of heart cards to represent health is really clever.
Thank you very much! :D
Wow really cool estetics impressive what you manage to create in this short amount of time!
Thank you!! :D
