Fun game idea!

Sadly, I have found, that if you straighten the board, the dice kind of doesn't quite roll over but stands on one of its points... and that carries over even if you switch back to the "intended" board orientation and even after reloading the page multiple times and trying out different levels or the survival mode, the dice never really realigned itself properly again, which made this game a lot harder and confusing...
I encountered it too, however I didn't even rotate the board :( It was really weird
Ahh, that's really frustrating- I've not been able to reproduce the bug consistently yet, I'll hopefully find the issue and be able to patch it post jam!
good game idea
Nice idea, I like how you set the game apart form the other "Stephen's Sausage Roll" like games!
Really loved the tutorial, but had problems with puzzles. Puzzle 4 was my first stumbling block - I made a 1-1 pair, but it didn't count. I revisited the tutorial and saw "Remember the top face is the minimum amount of dice required to create a chain" - well, 1<2, why doesn't it pair? In general, this rule might add some nuance to the game, but I wish it was better telegraphed - for example, remind the player about it when they make a 5-5 pair, the yellow dice doesn't really do it for me. The 3-star system is devilishly genius, instant anxiety and a need to replay the level. Also, this jam in general has a lot of problems with only 1 or 2 sides of a die visible at the same time - good job on making it 3! But still, having to remember the layout of the 3 invisible sides can be painful. Overall, good job, and I really loved the presentation!
That's a really valid point - I'll be sure to add a line into the tutorial about 1s not being able to be cleared!
The Yellow Dice was really just to illustrate the current connection, showing its an invalid connection I suppose is a side effect of that.
I'm glad you liked the three star system, I hope it gave a great deal of satisfaction when you finally rolled the three star!
A little tip that might help any future attempts: if you can see three sides of the Dice, you know all the others. Opposites sides of the D6 always add up to 7 :)
Thanks for checking the game out!
A great atmosphere, calm and ideal for reflection. The graphics are simple and effective. The result is elegant. The principle remains classic but it's a great job!
Really strong entry. Big fan of the mechanic, and the puzzles seemed really well tuned. Only issue I ran into is that the game threw an error returning to the main menu early from the tutorial.
Very well polished and very fun - this is a super impressive game for a 48 hour game jam! Awesome work.
Apart from throwing an error or two at times it is pretty much perfect. I think this is the first dice face matching game yet where i've actually been able to understand how the dice move xD
The puzzles are really well designed and the star system is perfect for this type of game. Optimizing each puzzle makes you feel clever but if you get stuck you can always just roll around until you win by accident :p
The satisfaction you get when it makes you feel clever is exactly what I was hoping to achieve! Thanks for checking it out :)
I like the idea here, but had some trouble getting my head around it. When a level clicked, it felt really nice, but it took me a while to understand you meant the literal number of dice in the chain needed to match the top face's number. Would also be nice to have an option to change the view from isometric, my brain doesn't like w being up-right.
So a few people have said the angle of the board can cause issues! Hidden within the options menu is the ability to straighten the board. It comes at the cost of not being able to see the sides of the dice though which does mean your needing to rotate the board a whole lot more. But that might help somewhat :)
Didn't catch that, wonderful!
It took me quite a while to get my head around the way the dice moved, and I also didn’t understand what the yellow dice since it wasn’t stated in the tutorial. The dice turn yellow if they are connected and the number of dice that are connected is less than the value on the top face. The value on the top face needs to be equal or smaller to the number of dice.
If you had time, an undo button would be appreciated to help me experiment and better get my head around the way they move.
This was a nice game once I figured that out! Thanks for the fun!
Thanks for the feedback it's very appreciated! I'll definitely think about adding a bit of text explaining the yellow dice in the next version of the game!
Awesome puzzle game with great presentation.
Thank you very much! Thanks for checking it out and playing :)
Very calming and polished. There was an issue on the level the ice dice are first introduced. When flipped back and forth I was getting a null reference exception. Unfortunately it didn't specify any further.
Ah, that's very frustrating to hear. There's always one or two bugs that getaway!
I am curious as to what the null reference was because it didn't halt gameplay lol

This was fun! I especially liked the ice dice - the puzzles with them were fun to solve.
I think the game could look a little bit better. The menus felt a bit too slow as well. Not sure if it was intentional or not, but the game only checking for chains with dice that just moved was slightly annoying.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you had fun playing, I'll certainly take a look at the menus feeling a little slow. Was it all the menus or the puzzle complete screen in particular?
Clean and simple. Much too complex right after finishing the jam. Love the simplicity of the puzzling though.Awesome work.
Thanks! Yeah, post-jam brain mush is certainly an issue!
Incredibly well done and very satisfying to solve. Also, smooth/fun just to move around!
A very well polished game especially with the amount of levels set up in such a short timeframe!
Oof
Cool concept and game. At first I didn't understand that it would only connect if the top number is the lowest possible (I think that's how it works, not sure). Struggled a bit with that. Some levels took me a while to figure out, while others were pretty easy. Overall nice game
Thanks for the feedback! I think as I flesh the game out further the difficulty will ramp in a more gradual pace
