Awesome entry! Everything about it was well done, keep it up!
It’s so simple, yet so fun.
Also, I love the classical violin soundtrack while you play.
Such a simple but great idea!
Fun take on the theme, very easy to get pulled into another try.
Graphics/sound/music were great and controls were simple and effective.
Thanks for submitting
Real cool idea, our first brainstorming session included a haunted cat game so its funny to see someone else's braincells were vibrating like that too. Really simple idea design wise that just works as a high score "one more run" game
Short but hilarious. Super well done on the visuals, straightforward idea, and even a leaderboard!
I played a couple of times and had a lot of trouble getting the paw attack to do what I expected to, despite how simple and intuitive the controls seemed. Maybe there was some sort of “hold down Mouse to reach further” type of system, but it just seemed random no matter how I tried to change my tactic. A quick freeze frame or two at the end of a player’s first run might have helped to explain what it was I wasn’t getting about the controls.
It was fun but short :(
I loved the graphics and the audio, I hoped I could jump or do some tricks with the paw
That was a blast, short and sweet and very funny. Great entry
Very impressive! I like the easter egg of your last jam game. :)
So glad you enjoyed it! You are the first to mention the old pictures 😄
Very simple and polished game, and I like how much you focused on the core mechanic with a leaderboard system. The audio and art were very good. I think the game was a bit too short though. Thanks for submitting!
Thank you for playing and your feedback. In regards to length do you wish the run was longer, or there were more things you could do with the cat (or both)?
Our priority was definitely see how polished we could make something by keeping scope down and I can see how it felt short on the experience.
Maybe adding some sort of obstacles that you have to watch out for would be an additional way to add skill expression. I felt that the game was mostly about clicking as fast as possible, and if I remember correctly, there was a definitive time limit. So, generally some more depth here would have been nice.
The leaderboard system and game are very polished, and I can see how this would be great as a jam game, but maybe the cat is also moving too fast. Not for difficulty tuning as the game was very simple, but for a longer run.
Such a fun and simple game!! Wish there was more levels and more destruction to be had is my only feedback! Great work!!
Guess it's always fun to destroy things haha. My only question is why the ghost had to take over the cat when cats do that sort of thing normally haha.
Fun game!
Everything in this game matches together and I absolutely have nothing to complain. Very polished and original idea. I wish there were more levels to cause mischief, hehe.
It is so fun and cool-looking game. I'd like to have an endless mode where you can destruct housees for eternity, because this is so good
This game was way too fun i literally spent half an hour just messing around ahaha
So glad you enjoyed it! The last couple days we were trying to best each other‘s score (and honestly still playing it a little but closing out to not muck up the leaderboard).
Cute and fun! Loved the art style and concept is fantastic. Kind of wish it was just a little longer per run. But I do think the addition of the leaderboard makes it replayable enough to balance it out. One of my favourite entries so far! Great work!
Thank you for the kind words! We focused on polish over content length and hoped the replay ability would help us a bit. I am curious do you just wish there were more rooms to run through, or more mechanics?
I don't think it needs more mechanics, what you have here is good and I don't see any real need to add additional elements to gameplay.
I'd say for me personally the overall length of each attempt just feels too short. I want to keep playing but as soon as I find myself getting into the groove of the gameplay it just kind of comes to an abrupt end. I wouldn't say it needs a lot but I would like too see the what is here extended into a longer experience.
