Played and rated!

Really enjoyed the experience. The art is simple, the audio is well made and the concept is pretty original!
Having checkpoints at important places, and for the easter egg having another exit was well thought of!
The gameplay was well designed from start to finish around progression and on a learning curve basis, really nice!

I finished the game. The atmosphere started being tense when there were monsters, I think I kind of liked more when it was about being a puzzle more than escaping monsters. Still, it was interesting to play and well balanced!

Very solid submission well done 😄

Just a perfectly relaxing game where you get to splash around in water and listen to some Beethoven! Don’t understand the tension people are talking about :P

I did spend a significant amount of time wondering why shift to speak wasn’t doing anything before I realized I had misread that, obviously a me problem 😅 I wonder if there’s a way to make this actually a blind-accessible game? Your character’s gotta be pretty dang smart to figure out how to get around just by the sounds of their footsteps, or to deduce what other creature’s feet look like just by hearing them. Honestly I think the tension would’ve been higher without a visual indicator of what each footstep was, even if you left in the sound of them.

I don’t feel like I understood the crumbling wall mechanic at all when it was introduced, I wonder if I just blitzed through it or if there could be a way to change that level to make it clearer? Also wasn’t sure if there were interactions between the bats and the red things, or the mouse and red things (though I guess they eat them, not the bats though?), or if there was a way to exploit any of that - that feels like something that could get polished up for a future version. Perhaps a rock throw mechanic could be cool too.

But there’s also something short, sweet, and complete about this version too. Like, I would’ve liked the ability to pause maybe? A slightly nicer menu? These are really tiny complaints, whereas this game is truly exceptionally good. Congratulations on it :)

my favorite game i've played so far, such an innovative concept. can't belive how much atmosphere you're able to create with barebones art and color and well-placed sound effects. i was on the edge of my seat at times and everything felt high stakes. really cool take on the theme, thanks for sharing!!

It is the most original game i have seen for now in this jam, congratulations!

The art, the music and the sounds, everything was perfect. Very good job

What a crazy innovative entry, really well done!

Well done! I really enjoyed playing!

The orange footprints getting close to me and then just leaving if I stay quiet is such a good detail.

Just a minor detail as feedback: The first couple of levels had many perfectly rectangular walls. I think it would add a lot of flavor if the walls were more irregular or had irregular accents (at least visually) to better represent the cave. The same goes for the death zones and the water. It felt a little weird to "see" perfectly rectangular death zones in a cave. I don't know if the player would be able to walk as freely if the death zones aren't rectangles though. Would need playtesting I think. Just a thought.

Amazing work!

Amazing!! Super fun and unique concept, I loved the different threats that you added (that last level was intense). Paves the way for lots of cool level design and very well-executed. There was one level with a very open room that was a bit unclear as to where to navigate, since the red zones were only distinguished by singular lines rather than bouncing off a boundary/wall. Maybe adding a bat/tightening the space a bit would provide more clarity. Other than that, great game!

It was very funny to play your game, nice gameplay and SFX!

Awesome concept, I would never imagine I could get scared by some red lines lol. The sound design is very good and the art is simple and effective.

This game is awesome. I love the idea of sound being your friend and enemy to navigate the darkness!

Super new concept and movement mechanics , loved the sound design , but I got stuck in some level where the red lines follow me , I really love the concept and interpretation of such a hard theme , great game ! Kudos

super cool game, great sound design and levels. the last level took me a while and got genuinely tense, and love the moonlight sonata room at the end.

A very simple but clever idea perfectly fitted with the theme. Congratz on that! The idea was executed perfectly and I loved the minimalistic art. But the clap sound was more like a fire shot (!) and the sound wave effect like spider web (it was fitted with the games theme tho!)!

Very good game overall. Recommend it to all.

This was really fun! I like how the game fits the isolation theme in multiple ways and not just one. Super cool game!

Quite innovative and fun, the graphics and audio are just right. It's good.

What a wonderful gem. I really enjoyed the incredible tension this game achieved, the hidden respite at the end was a wonderful decompression after that final challenge. So good!

Simply amazing.

Preface
The rating is based on my personal preferences alone. Generally, I'm pretty open to new experiences, but I prefer games where lots of things happen. I tend to be a harsh critic.
I have finished the game.
Gameplay/Fun

It keeps you on your toes (GET IT?) and is pretty fun, but sometimes it can get annoying.

Art Style/Visuals

There is nothing to complain about. Hell, I'm a fan of abstract aesthetics and this game hit it out of the park.

Audio/Sound Design

There is nothing to complain about. The whole game relies on sound and the soundscape is well achieved.

Innovation

So far the most innovative out of all games in the jam.

Theme

You're certainly not alone, but I have to give bonus points for a creative interpretation of the theme.

Verdict: Awesome game!

RATING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Amazing game, one of the best here, audiovisual masterpiece with unique gameplay ideas

This reminded of this other jam I participated where the theme was ''echo'' and a lot of people made a game based on echolocation, I think this game would have ranked very high in that jam. I really like this game tho, the art style is cool and the sound effects too, I found myself trying to make music by  stepping and stomping.
