Nice graphics, gameplay and dragging UI is interesting, enemies are helpful they make us fly haha I liked it :D .
The game started off well with the menu that you have to attach to yourself. A unique idea in this jam. Nice!๐
The concept of attaching power-ups to yourself is also cool and different, and certainly strange. Controls were sometimes difficult with all the things attached to you, but I still managed to survive quite a few waves despite occasional clumsiness on my part with everything attached. I read there was also a boss..unfortunately I did not get to that one. If there is a playthrough video showing the boss, that would be nice :-)!
Graphically simple but still effective for this type of game you've made. The music was nicely calm.
I think this is a good foundation for even more of this craziness, and that's positive. Keep it going!๐ช
I love this - I like the clean Art and the neon effect. Also the mechanics are quite unique, the attachement mechanic is so Creative.
Very well Done!!
Thank you for playing!
I really like your creativity of how u can use the things around you to survive. it has inspired me. Thanks.
Thank you!
I am glad to hear that it inspired you ๐
:}
I really like the idea of having the player's health be a physical object in he game world, it's very creative!
thank you!
This is super unique! The attachment mechanic is very clever and perfectly fits the "strange" theme. How do you use the boots to jump? I wasn't sure if there was a button I needed to press.
The music and atmosphere was relaxing and made me feel like I had lots of time to experiment and try rolling around.
I would recommend adding some kind of tracker that shows you which direction enemies are - sometimes it was hard to find the next one.
I played for quite a few minutes. Overall, this is an an extremely interesting and creative concept that I would love to see more of.
i am glad you liked the mechanics of the game, about the boot you just need to attach it to the player and when it touches the ground it makes you jump. you can see the screenshots for some guidance. i am sad you didnt discover this because the most enjoyable powerup (the jet) is only accessible after you discover it when jumping with the boot!
i wanted to add an upgrade system to the shield that at some point will show you the location of the enemies but over scooped a bit so had to reduce the content to finish it.
thank you for playing and for the feedback!
I'll try again with the boot! I definitely want to explore more!
Dragging items on your body that act as power-ups is a really, really good idea! The movement was a bit weird tho - enemies could make you stuck into a wall because they would get small and then big again resulting in pressing you into the wall each time. Overall it's sill a solid entry for this jam :)
actually, i have never had this issue, the boot usually just rockets me out of those sticky situations.
thank you for the feedback and for playing!
What a weird but cool game, using stuff on your body as a powerup I would have never think like that!
Movement really is weird with all that stuff attached, idk if I was doing good cause it never indicated of a new wave or how good I was doing.
if you kill all enemies, it spawns a new wave. so if you constantly had enemies to fight and maybe even fought the boss you did a good job :)
i am aware about the movement weirdness, i didnt have enough time to polish it unfortunately and implementing a score counter could have been a good idea,
thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Simple yet innovative game that allows physics based experimentation of power combinations. The implementation of the core mechanic into the main menu was the best introduction to a mechanic I have seen in long time.
wow i am thrilled to hear, the menu idea actually came from my lacking ui skills but lets call it an intended 'feature'.
thank you for the kind words :)
Yeah, good one! Your game is one of those, where you took the theme, and went hard!
There is always something cool about attaching stuff in games. If said stuff can be attached anywhere, that's better. I'm not really sure if I've seen a game, where you do that to the main menu, but that's probably the best piece of tutorial in this jam!
Good work!
i am glad to hear so many people liked the mechanic integration of the menu. i always liked the attaching idea as well and finally got to experiment on it (which was kind of hard to balance it and make it playable i must admit)
thank you for playing!
A calming game with a good calming music and I like the mechanics. I ended up spending a little bit more than 20 minutes on it. Just don't put the curvi power up (the first one you see) on the little holes with the hearts or the paper, it will be stuck down there
i definitely ow my friend for the amazing soundtracks.
thank you for playing!
I love the mechanics that you have in your game here. From dragging the menu icons onto the player to start, attaching powerups to your character, the unique health display and the different enemy interactions. I find that there have been some really creative choices made here and I love it. In terms of improvements, it would be cool if you were able to manually rotate the powerups to fit them exactly as desired. Overall, great game entry!
rotating the powerups is a great idea to add, how didnt i think of that :)
i am glad you liked the mechanics. a lot of them actually came from my lack of ui skills. so instead of a health bar - object representation. instead of main menu - object representation. it indeed exercised my creativity but lead to great results.
thank you for playing!
