Awesome visuals and sound design, I love the game mechanics and how well you implemented the limitation into it, this game is one of the best entries I've rated so far, great job!

Visually stunning, and definitely one of the best-looking games I've played in the jam. I liked the take on the limitation, dodging past you is a fun mechanic. The wall jumps were very frustrating though, my only suggestion would be to make it so wall jumping automatically launches you away from the wall, like in mario. That would make it less frustrating to do. Super fun game!

Developer

Hello! Thank you and sorry for the frustration caused by the wall jump.

Solid submission! Very nice concept, with really good level design and progression! Love the art too! Very well done! 😄

Very nice take on the limitation. really nice artwork and a neat level design, Had lots of fun playing this game! The wall jump had a curve but was still a fun game!

Its really fun game and nice concept!, I died 71 times love this game :)

Nice game! it was fun to play. wall jump was confusing at first but then I figured it out. Artwork and sfx were also really good! good job!

Developer

Hello! Thank you. SFX are just no copyright sfx we used. They are not from us.

I really like this! The idea of not being able to backtrack is a good one and you did really well with it! I liked how the player will stretch when they jump. Good Job! I died 37 times.

Good platformer and great idea!

What a nice platformer, good use of the limitation, I just think that the wall jump feels a little  off, but other than that it feels nice to finish a level.

Very fun puzzle platformer, I love the visuals and effects.

Besides the wall jump thing (which after getting used to wasn't an issue anymore, since you can just hold the jump button to do it) the game worked pretty well and the puzzles were fun. Good job! I like that there's a death counter =)

Sweet lil game. Strategy felt very satisfying to engage with. It feels a little like those line puzzles where you traverse a graph and can't touch the same place twice.

Aesthetically, this is very polished. Obviously it's a great concept that fits the limitation very well.

Nice work overall!

Cool game. I thought the wall jumps were fine. Fits the limitation perfectly, and the art is great. Well done!

Seems like the peeps have already complained about the wall jumps, so no need to mention that. Though I did find the spawning of the red sprite to be somewhat random, so I suggest making it more consistent, it's probably just resetting a timer on death or something. Otherwise a neat, tidy game.

Developer

Hello! Thank you for the comment. The spawn isn't random, when you touch a surface the code will check if you are far enough to the previous clone position. It was a cooldown before but I found it harder.

I agree with all the complains, it will help me for my next production.

VERY fun! The graphics are top tier as well! Loved it :)

Amazing fun! Really challenge by dodge my clones!

This is really good! This kind of game needs really snappy and responsive controls, and you delivered that (in most cases)! That level where you go right to the key and then back to the portal had me jumping in steps, which reminded me of the hotel in Celeste.

Made it out with 43 deaths, though not an insignificant number of them were due to the wall jump. Someone mentioned below that it is tricky to pull off, and I agree; though after a while I did manage to figure out a way to do it better: the classic wall jump is to jump into the wall and then away, but here, the best way seems to be to just be next to the wall and then jump, after which you press a directional button; is that the intended solution?

Also wanted to say that the quick restarts was a great idea for this game; without it, the game might have become tedious. The short levels helped with that as well.

Overall, an excellent game with great implementation. Fantastic work!

Developer

Hello! Thank you a lot for the comment.

It was my first official platformer game and the first time doing a wall jump. I wanted to give an impulse to the opposite side of the wall but I couldn't find a way to do it. I had to sacrifice it to have the horizontal controls I wanted.

I'll work on that for my next platformer.

Wow visuals are so good! And animations are juicy! I liked this game a lot!

Decent game, good take on the limitation, the double jump was finnicky and led to about 50 deaths, otherwise I finished all levels with 80 deaths.

Developer (1 edit)

Hello! It is actually a wall jump and it was my first time doing it. I'm sorry if that was frustrating and thank you for playing and commenting.

Simple yet effective. I think the sprites need a little polish, maybe adjust pixel sizes. However: Great portal SFX. I love death counters for small games. I will retry to get less than 5 deaths.

Developer

Hello! Thank you, the artist started pixel art right before the jam that was impressive. Good luck for < 5 death xd.
