Did not expect to get that into this once it first came up, but the atmosphere was just amazing. My favorite part was the omniscient large smile above the first large open area. there was something so incredibly discomforting about his gaze. Great game and definitely makes me want to make a simple 3D maze game like this!

I don't know if this only happens to me, but I can't move the camera freely, like instead of the mouse dissaprearing it's just invisible, but if I get out of the window the mouse goes out, and on fullscreen it just stops at the edges, so I couldn't turn back or change directions.

It does look very nice, but I can't really play it... :(

Edit: I works now for some reason... so I guess I'll go play it

Ok so now, the atmosphere was great, and I never thought someone would use that face as the focal point for the whole game. It is a really nice game, it could certainly be more polished but it's great anyway.

A bit of wall tile variation would've also been nice, and also, when I was at the part where the giant face is in the ceiling I didn't know if it was the ending or not, I later saw all the doors and how you respawn there and not at the beginning but it'd be nice if you could make it clearer that that isn't the end.

Great atmosphere and somehow a red smile chasing me managed to cause slight discomfort, never thought that could happen! The music was also perfect but my favourite part was the effects, great job on this!

I recommend putting in an option for downloading!

Developer

will do! I personally avoid games I have to download because of the hassle but do you prefer them?

Submitted(+1)

Downloads are good for people that have bad internet.

This game has many creative ways of exploring the same concept(don't let the giant red head catch you). The music and the postprocessing add a lot to the atomosphere and the movement is very fluid. The engagement is good. I would've played more but got stuch in the part where everything is made from heads.

Thanks for the positive words! That is the last room and it is quite hard...

I'm scared of happy people now

Really atmospheric.  Reminds me of early cactus stuff.

Spooky game!

pretty nice

It reminded a lot of Slender games, which is a good thing because it gave me thrills!

The usage of the art assets is really clever, indeed, it gives a nice horror ambiance!

I liked the ending, even if it was hard for me to finish it, because of a little issue with the last checkpoint. Indeed, each time that I died, the enemies didn't reset their positions, so sometimes they kill-spawned me, I thought that I was blocked but I succeeded to escape ^^

You made a really good game daichi! Keep it up!

Haha, fun game, the smilies were suitably menacing. I struggled a bit in the last room, the smilies made it to my respawn point and I kept getting thrown out of the map as soon as I respawned. I eventually managed to escape them though. Good job!

Very interesting game. Got really scared but i think that was the goal of it! ;)

3D game with 2D assets = win!

I was confused most of the time and didn't know what to do. Once the smiley face disappeared from the maze I got more scared than when I was running from it.

Developer

hahaha if you got scared then the game accomplished its goal! thanks for playing :):):):):)

Funny how just so simple usage of the art assets can make such a haunting experience.

Well done, sir!

woo gave me some chills. very creepy sound effects, but an interesting experience :^) are you going to make a video on this game? I really enjoyed your 6 months of game dev video

Developer

thanks for playing! I sure will. I’ve got a backlog of video ideas but I probably should make one for this while the irons hot. Stay tuned and thanks for subscribing:)
