Description
mellifluous EP: The entire EP is designed to be played connected together, but it's fine listened to separately although the transitions between each song might be a slight bit janky in the individual releases.
bitdance: Based on Zenless Zone Zero's hub world but with a more chiptune/electronic aesthetic. I see bitdance being a sort of opening song or, just like ZZZ, a hub world type of song.
rain synthesis: Based of Diverse System's works. series of songs that are a compilation geared towards lofi and house songs, a personal project I did for one of my finals for college and a prototype horror game a friend of mine made revolving around a subway (hence the subway noises I recorded a couple of days before creating the song). rain synthesis is supposed to be a sort of traveling song; a song that strikes a balance between high and low energy. I wanted to juxtapose the way the softer real elements like the piano and the harder electronic elements like the chiptune sequence and drums for the difference in energy.
evanescent: Based on the same Diverse System works. series as well as a song by the artist Glacier called Birch View. I was trying to make a song similar to rain synthesis but with the bamboo textures that Birch View used, but I deviated a bit and made something that I would describe as an exploration/combat scenario song. The track gradually increases in energy and the way the piano resolves at the end of the highest energy part also gives a mysterious energy. The ending of evanescent is supposed to be the final conclusion to whatever mystery is discovered.
Each song was started initially by laying down the bass and drums to build a foundation and then each of the other melodic elements followed, except for rain synthesis which started out with the ambient layers.
I used FL Studio to make all the music and a combination of Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro to make the cover/video.
Message from the artist
please roast to medium rare, I normally make remixes so this is my first time both composing original songs and composing a soundtrack <3
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
With rain synthesis and evanescent, both songs have a lot of open space, which allows the listener to fill in the space with their own ideas. With bitdance, it serves as an introductory song to acquaint yourself with the world that you enter.

This was a really good submission. The mixing was of professional quality and each of the songs had really creative percussion. I haven't heard of a submission that has gone in this musical directional so it was pretty refreshing to hear.
Overall, really good entry. Keep it up!
Dat some good electronic music right there. The percussions sound crisp and full, they remind me of Julian Gray's earlier works haha. Not sure what the clanky instrument in "evanescent" is called but dang they vibe hard. While the more energetic in-your-face synths of "bitdance" was super fun, I also enjoyed the chiller piano that ran throughout the other 2 tracks as well.
The first song was super bouncy and just great!
Really solid entry!
Super fresh submission! Sounds perfect!!
This was really awesome! So many different ideas that all blended together brilliantly to make a super fun cohesive experience. You mixed different styles together so well, and especially the cascading rhythms in evanescent feels almost soundscapey, makes for an incredibly relaxing listen!
Ah... I don't know why, but this music evokes a very strong sense of fresh nostalgia.....
A mix of dance music and chiptune? Cool!
bitdance - Okay... Another jam track I've been dancing to.... Thank you!
rain synthesis - Sad and fun at the same time... How? I like it
evanescent - I REALLY LOVE this percussion)
You certainly have good skills in this direction of music. Good job!
P.S. Great video design on YouTube)
Chirurgically clean music, really love the chiptune-lofy vibe, you didn't made it the entiere personality of the track, just some little SFX here and now, some astucious sound choice, and it really show !
Excellent! I loved it. I don't have much to say. The music speaks for itself and you have made a very good soundtrack. I really like the little sharp chiptune details contrasting with the not so chiptune and more organic, if you know what I mean. Very spacious too, I like that.
these are some clean pieces of electronic music, the drum sample selection is super satisfying, the percussions in bitdance and evanescent are particular standouts for me. really love the 2-step garage flavor of bitdance, too, it absolutely has "weirdly high quality lobby music from an anime gacha game" vibes lmao. i hope this gets more attention in the coming days!
This is some really tightly made EDM! I love all your synth choices and your instrumentation and mixing are super super clean. I think you've done a great job writing some awesome tunes and they fit together really well (especially with the longform mix, love it). What I am missing is the vision of what the game this goes with is all about - it's hard for me to tie it to the theme of going into my world since I don't know where we are!
I don't think you need to sell yourself short as a composer tho - you're showing off some great chops here!
Day 1 of Rating Submissions with Few Ratings in the Hopes of Getting Ratings Back
You weren't kidding about the dance music influence. The chippy textures in the background, particularly of the opening track, are quite enjoyable and show your background in electronic music and remixing.
My favourite is likely the second track. The subtle atmosphere you build at first is quite enjoyable and I wish you'd allow those types of textures a little more room to breathe - would also help differentiate the different areas in a potential game a bit more.
Overall good job. Cool graphics in the YouTube upload as well, even though I can't take those into account while rating.
I can definitely hear the DS works album influences in here (especially in the cover art design). Also is that the Synthion sparkle faller in mellifluous every so often (1:51 ish)? Very vibey overall, nice minimal arrangement choices without getting boring too!
Nice! you made some great choices with your synths.
