Hey thanks man, I am about 45 days in now to learning Unreal Engine and have started my second game I am calling Tetroid, just posted an update a bit ago. I think it's going to be pretty fun when we finish it up. I was originally going to just keep working on the Fishing game until it was perfect, but decided for the first year of learning the system I will just hit game jams to get inspiration and new challenges and learn as much as possible before I even try to build a "real" game.

Submitted

Thats a good way to go about it. Im about 3 months into learning the engine. My fishing game for the jam is going up here soon I'm just finishing up the final tweaks and playtests.

Submitted

Awesome can't wait to play it!

Submitted

Nice nice! I'm really now starting to actually make a game, games? Slow progress not a lot of time, but this gamejam forced me to the keyboard.

I just submitted mine. Haven't even uploaded a video demo as yet. I have 2 bugs that I could fix with a bit of work but they dont affect the main gameplay so i may just leave it. Didnt get to do everything i wanted to but i got it up and running

Nice nice. I'm new to the actually making a game thin in Unreal Engine vs. tinkering around. Two different things. haha. I just uploaded today. I did about 20% of what my big idea was vs. knowing better, but gotta start somewhere.

Wasted days being stubborn trying to figure stuff out that I ultimately couldn't figure out and not in the game. Had an Engine Package error at midnight. Fun when you don't know what you're doing. I work in IT so did some 101 trouble shooting an the winner was install VS 2022. https://justjack-inddev.itch.io/reel-it-in

My submission was my first game and I had the exactly same problem with the VS2022. Good luck!

Submitted

Same to you too. Nice! Love your game. Well done. Learned a lot during this one for sure.

Submitted

I submitted mine about 10 min before the deadline, but I don't see it in the list of games for voting. Im worried I didn't do it right

Submitted

Submitted mine 1am local time last night. Have had an awesome time with it all. Really looking forward to playing all the entries over the next few nights. First game jam for me too.
