Fun game. I didn’t expect the login system either, first I’ve seen this jam so great idea there! It was perhaps a little too difficult but as a fun little arcadey game, it’s pretty good. Well done!

I will try your game now. Please check out my game too: https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2024/rate/3048750
I am currently at work but I will play and rate your game when I finish. Please could you also play and rate mine? https://itch.io/jam/scream-jam-2024/rate/3048750 Thanks!

Very impressive. The game feels quite polished, especially when you consider it was created in only seven days. The map is large, the gameloop is solid, and it’s very creepy. I think features such as checkpoints and re-working the stamina (as others have mentioned) would help take this to the next level. Good work!

The game was a little short, but it felt tense at first. I think if you could have expanded the level to gradually build that tension further and then unleash it all into the chase sequence at the end, it would have been a better experience. The flashing lights were a little too much (my game also has this problem haha). It’s not a bad game, it could just use a little more time in the oven I think. Good job :)
This is seriously high quality for something created in a period of only 7 days, incredible work. Everything came together hollistically to create a very powerful experience. You have certainly erred more towards an artistic experience than play, strictly in-terms of game design, but a thoroughly enjoyable experience for me regardless.
I enjoyed this one quite a lot! Great graphics and sounds, it felt really spooky. I played on the WebGL build which had some serious performance issues but I played up until I got the flashlight.
I definitely think the game could have used some better direction. I couldn’t work out where to go after the flashlight until I managed to fall out of the map. (In the start room, by the wall with the bunkbeds, I walked backwards through the wall.) That said, I think this is really strong entry, well done!
I definitely got a jump when the monster started attacking me so well done for the horror aspect!
I think the monster was a tad too fast during the keypad sequence. I had to ve very quick not to die and it would have been nice to have a checkpoint after that initial part.
Good job on this though, it definitely felt right for this jam!
Interesting idea. I think the core loop shows promise and could be expanded to make the game more interesting. I think having different sprites would have made the game more visually appealing too, but I’ve read your comments elsewhere justifying why you did not do that. I think the visuals are quite good too! Well done :)
Really good game. The idea is clever and simple which is perfect for a jam and it works well to creep the player out, increasing as the game goes on. The part I didn’t like was finding where the books go, it wasn’t clear enough for me. I think making the bookcase you’re looking for highlight or adding a direction indicator / map could help here.
Great entry, well done!
Really good game. I’m seriously impressed you were able to pull this off in only a week, well done!
Unfortunately, I ran into a bug (WebGL) where I was unable to direct the team to the maintenance chamber and therefore unable to progress. I definitely wanted to though, I was really drawn into the story at that point. Excellent work.
