Interesting art, I would have liked to have more gravity and the camera turn. I wasn't sure if my attacks on the wolf-riding enemy did anything. In addition I fell through the floor several times. This could either be caused by a script directly touching the position, in which case you should re-code things so that you are applying torques/forces rather than changing the position directly. Alternatively it could be because of the use of non-convex collision.
The art and animations were good. The region looks interesting, but you can't move the camera when you turn. There also isn't much to do other than swing your sword. Side note: you can't turn until you swing your sword.
The models were very cool. I liked the camera angle and the controls were smooth. It would be cool to see the battle where the enemy and player can fight. Great job.
I understood the concept of the game, but I felt there could have been some minor things added. Maybe have the boss move around to try and avoid the attacks. I did like the swing animation the attacker had, I thought that was a nice touch.
The character model and the enemy are cool. The character should have running and movement animations, it would make the game a lot better. While running up the hill, the player was flying in a straight line, I believe the player should stick to the ground which makes more sense. Well done on the game, give it some modifications and animations and it will look cooler.
I did like the character models quite a bit, but I would have liked just fighting the boss right off the bat maybe start on top of the hill running up to the boss seemed a little pointless. Also some of animations seemed to bug out about 25 percent of the way in.
Very interesting concept, and I liked that there was an attack mechanic in the game. Having the camera positioned in a third person view was cool since I could see the attack animation, but I think that possibly adding a camera controller would be beneficial as well. I also think the enemy fell through the floor when I attacked, so I looked around a bit more but didn't find anything else. Overall, this is a creative concept of the theme even if the game is unfinished.
I like the thought that went behind the game. I made it up the hill and defeated the boss. Having the attack and damage system in place was nice. I think I would of liked to see where this project would of went if it had more time for completeion. Having a camera control and also maybe mobs for you to fight as you go up the hill would be nice.
I think I'd put this in the top five subs on the Jam, and would love to see where it goes if you decide to run with it. The movement and attacking work beautifully, the objective is pretty transparent (I knew what I was supposed to do immediately), but the lack of camera controls made it easy to just get lost somewhere to the boss' 7 o'clock.
Very clever use of the theme! This was fun to play and the trek up the hill to fight the enemy was a nice touch. I think it would have made it a more immersive experience if the camera rotated along with the direction the player was facing but overall really good!
Cool concept, however feels very unfinished.
Cool concept, however feels very unfinished.
I liked the terrain and the attack animation but it feels unfinished. I'm not sure if the attacks actually hit the boss or if he just falls through the world if you push him.
Neat concept, I bet if you had more time to realize it, it would've been amazing.
The game concept seemed very interesting. The game however seemed very unfinished, the enemy fell through the floor which I think is supposed to happen. But, after trying to go further the player sort of went off into space.
I like the character models and the concept is there. After some swings the hill boss did fall through the ground so I think he was taking damage. Nice terrain as well.
Good game mechanics. Although, it did not do any damage at all and the enemies didn't seem to attack the player.
It looks like you had the attack mechanics working which is cool. I didn't see anything glitchy about the sword swing itself not doing damage etc., like I didn't seem to damage the enemy simply via proximity but actually had to hit them with the sword.
Definitely has potential! With more of an environment and more mechanics it will be more of an enjoyable fight.
I actually really like the camera placement, I think it is unique, however, there is no real direction to the game and the enemy just stands there. Really good base to build off of though!
