Nice puzzle game! Very well done and balanced. The way the game was eased into was very well done!
I had a little bit of performance issue though. Not sure if that was a fault on my end.
Thanks for the review!
There is a bit performance heavy especially for the web so if you want it to run smoother use a downloadable version
Nice game! The puzzles was just hard enough! And the physics were very good
Glad you enjoyed!
Super cool game! The pixel art physics is super impressive for a 10 day jam! Loved the difficulty ramp and that last level was just annoyingly challenging enough to make me keep playing until I finished it haha. Great job! :)
Thanks for the review!
Awesome game. (Have to dowload it, because browser version was too slow). Good incorporation of physic. The jump is too fast for me, but it's ok. Puzzle were not to hard so I can reach the end. Congratulation, that's a great game.
Glad you enjoyed!
Nice little puzzle game!
Plays pretty well and the fluid simulation is awesome and it fits the theme quite well. You build a platform or you destroy it. It's simple, easy to learn and some of the later levels took more than one try which is nice and was not annoying at all because the levels are super short and not dragged out.
The visuals are simple but also pleasing. It gave me a more colorful Game Boy vibe. I like the minimalism. Not a lot of stuff is going on and the focus is on the sand and platforms which are super easy to distinguish from the rest of the levels.
In the beginning I had a bit of trouble to get what the game wants from me. In level 3, I think, the one were you climb the first cliff, I really thought the game wants to teach me how to reset the game. There was no character, only "R to restart" was written at the top of the screen. I think it would be totally fine to not lock the character out of screen until you build a bridge and let the player instead control the character. It would feel more natural.
I didn't have problems with the controls but I would adding space as additional jump key would be really nice.
It was short, entertaining and fun to play. Very good jam entry. Great job!
Thanks for the in depth review.
I think you’re talking about level 4 and I taught bridge building in the last level so I wanted to ramp it up a bit but when I was doing playtesting everyone said they got stuck on that level and had to reload the game so I said r to restart to make sure people know to do that.
Also I found when the player was able to move while placing it was more confusing to figure out when you could use the bomb and it was also annoying trying to make it so people couldn’t draw over themselves.
Thanks again!
Loved the fluid simulation. Also, it is a very fun concept, got me hooked from start to end. Congrats!
Thanks for the review!
Use of physics is incredible
Thanks for the review!
neat
That was a lot of fun, I wish the character controller was a bit slower and maybe link spacebar to jump up is a bit awkward on keyboard. but all an all well executed
Thanks for the review!
I didn’t add the space bar as an option to jump because I thought it’d be hard to use it while also using the mouse.
great way to incorporate physics mechanics
Thanks for the review
Neat game! The sand and fire physics behave as I expect, good gamefeel. I did notice some audio issues (I believe that's an issue with Godot HTML exports) and some lag, especially in the victory screen. I wish there had been more levels, since I felt like the last level was the first one where I really had to think about it and engage with the game mechanics, I would've enjoyed more like that. But that's a typical gamejam problem, of course. The artstyle is quite cute, too! Great job overall
Thanks for the review.
Most of the issues you had should be fixed if you do a download but it’s probably not that much if a problem. With the levels, I had trouble finding interesting puzzles with the elements in the game so I decided to go for a short but polished game.
Thanks again!
Great game. Did get stuck in the level where I believe you need to shoot through the platform. Really digging the art and the music fits great.
Thanks for the review!
Thanks! Hehe
Really Cool Game, I Didn't Really Know How To Play At First But Later The Game Felt Really Good After, I Like The Art. That All, Good Game ;P
Thanks for the review
The game length and feel is very good. I could reach the end with a bit of difficulty in the last level, which is great! The art is nice too. I feel like it doesn't fit the Multi-Use focus very much. But like it a lot.
Thanks for the review, I’m glad you enjoyed!
Reminds me of the old powder games.
Yeah, I was inspired by those games and noita
Noita is great.
Thanks, I really hope so
Really appreciate the complement!
Let's hope so.
Very cool Game!
Watching the wood burn and the sand fall feels really satisfying. The puzzles are nice, getting more difficult over time. I found it a bit weird that the character was off-screen while you created the wood.
I feel like it doesn't fit the Focus Multi-Use perfectly since you have different ways of interacting with the wood depending on if you have to create or destroy it. But other than that, really nice, polished game, well done.
Thanks for the review!
About the limitation I couldn’t think of anything that fit both the things that well (and pre-jam I knew I wanted to try out sand) so I decided to go for a bit of a stretch for Multi use because I felt like setting wood on fire would be really interesting and he said as long as you can justify it it’s all good.
