This game was really enjoyable, the visuals were nice and clean, and the effects were good. The easy-to-use controls were really nice.

This is fun! Clear tutorial, love the twist on the spikes and the moving goal, audio is good too! Overall well done!

Developer

Thank you!

I enjoyed this game, I liked the long tutorial building up to the core gameplay arena, I wasn't expecting that and it worked super well. Smashing into enemies and spikes felt super good, especially with the dissolve animation you had on them.

If you wanted to improve, I suggest making the boost meter more visible. I couldn't see it on most stages and even when I could, it was hard to tell what meant what. I suggest removing the bar and just adding a particle effect to the player when they can boost. I also recommend adding just a touch of screen shake to drive home the impact of boosting into something.

Overall, quality project!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback!

The  screen shake is a very good idea!

Submitted(+1)

It was interesting to play. Great idea and good mechanics! Good job!

P.S.

Hope you will build it also for Android and Ios ;)

Developer

Thanks!

Does it not cost 100 dollars?

Submitted

As I remember for Android it’s 25 maybe something has changed now.

For iOS yeah it’s 100.

P.S.

For Android, you can put in some popular websites (similar to GooglePlay) your apk and that’s all ;)

Developer

Ok. Thanks!

Pretty simple, I was quite confused at start, but I could figure out and yeah I can't beat that 1000 points score :D

Developer

I wrote down just a number. 1000 points are nearly impossible. ;-)

But a score of 200  is   good!

Wowie! Its so fun to play, and the particle effects are amazing! One small suggestion, you can probably add a bit more contrast to the different colors of the palette, it's somewhat difficult to see when the player can boost despite the reloading bar

Developer

Great that you like it ;-)

At the end I wanted to increase the contrast but it was too late to go through all the levels again and change the color. I should have built up the structure correctly from the beginning.

The sound effects were really cool!! Something about em' made it feel like a glitchy old computer which I think was a really nice aesthetic for this game. Also cool concept in general! I think after the jam, you can do a lot more with this idea and I would be excited to see where you take it.

Developer

Yes the game has a lot of potential I had more things planned but they didn't make it into the game.

Thanks for your feedback! ;-)

I like that you made the enemies and spikes actually damaging at first and then changed them later. I followed the instructions but then went back and tested it.

The charge bar for the dash merged into the background too much. I at first didn't see it at all and assumed the charge was random, then got to the actual level and was moving around so much I thought it was bugged haha.

The enemies and spikes smashing to pieces really made the game fun

Thanks for your feedback! ;-)

really fun and nice looking game, i suggest making a circle at the last mouse click position to give the player more feedback but besides that the game is amazing :)

Great Job :)

Developer

Very nice feedback. Thank you! ;-)

I like the concept a lot! It's visually pretty cool too, but it seemed lke things went invisible in certain areas. Good job though!

Developer(+1)

Yes the invisible bug is because of the size of the window. Thats why its better to play it in Fullscreen. ;-)

Liked the animation on the enemies when they break down, overall it's quite fun

Submitted(+1)

Really cool concept and mechanics! I love the boost feature! Nice Work!

I would appreciate some feedback too :D

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks!

Your game is very fun! ;-)

The boost mechanic is fun, I like the having to choose between waiting for a boost or just getting away without one. Also, this game would work really good on mobile. I think the connection to the theme is kind of weak because the goal and the spikes would still work if they were anything else.

Developer

Yes  thats true. ;-)

Submitted(+1)

very nice game.

the boosting mechanic is satisfying

Developer

Thank you! ;-)

Submitted (1 edit) (+1)

It is a very weirdly satisfying game, I enjoyed it, good job!

-Just a note, but the transition from the tutorial to the actual game was very jarring

Developer

Yes that's right. The transition didn't go so well

Submitted(+1)

I like the boosting mechanic it gives the game a lot of strategy and I also like the retro aesthetic.

my high score is 222

Developer

Thank you! Very good score! ;-)

Submitted(+1)

Really fun idea. High score was 157.

Developer

Thank you so much! ;-)

Submitted(+1)

Interesting idea, I found the difference between the main game and the tutorial a little confusing but I think thats the vibe you were going for. Good job!

Developer

Thanks ;-)   I wanted to make an interactive tutorial. But it doesn't relate so well to the main game. And that' s why it has become like this.

Submitted(+1)

To be honest the impression I got was that it was just abstract in the tutorial which I enjoyed.

Developer

I'm glad because I only saw it as a tutorial. ;-)

Submitted(+1)

Cool concept and mechanics. Great job!

Developer

Thanks

Submitted(+1)

I appreciate the story and the game itself is pretty fun! Great job :)

Developer

Thank you! ;-)
