I like the art style and the mechanics. But like others already pointed out: It does not fit in the theme.

Really nice game!!!

Solid entry gives superhot vibes, if it wasn't for the commenter below mentioning the writing inside of the room may not have gotten past it, but the rest was easy to follow.

Cool game!

Okay, actual feedback time.

Pretty fun game! It was pretty solid mechanically, but the presentation is another story. I think some good sound design alone could elevate this game so much.

I don't think this game fits the theme too well. I get what you were going for, but I honestly wouldn't call this a stealth game. It would be really hard to make a "real" stealth game in 3 days, and for the time limit I think you did quite well. I just think the theme feels more like an afterthought. Which is fine, the theme is optional of course.

The visuals are not good. They could be worse, but they are definitely not great. But I don't think it detracts from the experience too much. Games like this don't always need stunning visuals, in fact I quite like the doom/wolfenstein look (I assume that's what you were going for).

As I said earlier, this game could benefit immensely from some good sound design. It's incredible important for games like this that are more action-oriented. Your game has sound, which is something. But sound effects can do so much more than just play when something happens. Actually no, that's exactly what they do, lol. I think you get my point. Also sound design is pretty fun once you get into it, imo. I used to neglect it a lot, but now I really enjoy it.

Overall, I think this game is very well done! Congrats on being one of the most popular games in the jam, I think it's well deserved.

P.S. I heard what you said about me:

I think he's part of a by-gone era.
Back when game jams used to be only about giving and getting feedback

Sad but true. I've said this a couple times before, but the only jams I've participated in before this one have been pretty small, and for the most part everyone was really nice, so real feedback was a lot more common. I guess I assumed it would be the same for this one, but clearly not. Anyways I'm glad I can bring some of that atmosphere over to bigger jams, as it seems like it's a lot more aggressive. Everyone's spamming their game in the discord all the time, which I find really annoying. Well I've already written way too much, so I'll cut it off there.

Thanks for playing and for the feedback :)

You're right about the sound design though. I made the SFX and music half an hour before I submitted the game lol. I need to work more on that.

And I was going for DOOM-like look lol. The game definitely needs some sprucing up, you're right on that lol

Yeah, ratings are a whole different story in larger jams.....

Again, thanks for playing and for the feedback :)

Very fun to play, door/enemy kicking is super satisfying,

I was stuck for a while on the 3 enemies/1 bullet level but then I realized there is more text on the floor behind the door :D

anyway, great work!

Super fun, great work. The kicking mechanic was a lot of fun to explore. Great style and presentation!

Developer

Thank you for your feedback :). Means a lot coming from you

Well made game, really enjoyed it a lot, but the music became a bit too monotonous maybe in update you'll fix that, except it, it was really fun and amazing game, good luck for jam.

Cool game  but it was a bit too diffucult.

It's amazing! From art, all the way to gameplay, I love it! Though, I couldn't really find  how it fitted this year's topic but I mean... who even cares? It's still a really fun game to play after all! :D

Submitted(+1)

How does this fit? Eh, who cares. Extremely fun.

Fun game, i liked the graphics, despite them being very simple, it worked really nicely.
There is a problem with the camera where you can look infinitely upwards, making the world go upside down.

Fun game :)

I LOVE the game. Everything in it. Art. Gameplay. Look.

With the timer it is a bit more a puzzler than a shooter. I think that's ok, but the aggressive door-kicking and shooting asks, in my opinion, for Gameplay a bit more like Doom and less like a puzzle game. It is just personal preference though.

Great Job. Nice game!

Hey I like the Game feels really good except for the control of the mouse, you can be upside down :D a little strange

Holy Crap, this is so good!! It's like doom meets superhot meets max payne. Really really good, wp!

Submitted(+1)

Fun game, good beat to keep you pumped up!

Very nice game with lovely visuals. Only bug I ran into was that the camera wasn't locked in the vertical axis. Accidentally peered at the floor and ended up walking backwards at the start xD

Submitted(+1)

Really unique visuals and game with awesome mechanics and overall very polished. Shame it doesnt fit the theme that well but its still an amazing game :D

Neat game! It was easy enough to understand, and the mechanics and new challenges were introduced well, and the generous amount of bullet time was great as well. It took a while for me to realise I had limited bullets though - that was a bit confusing at first. Graphics-wise, I loved how the game looked. It's a unique visual style, and it works very well, with the limited colour palette helping make the scene look much clearer. The sounds could've been better though, and the music got pretty repetitive pretty quickly as well. A bit more feedback after hitting an enemy would've been good too, since it was kind of difficult to tell if a distant enemy had been hit or not, especially the armoured ones. Overall, though, it was a brilliant little sort-of-stealth game, so great job!

Awesome game! Yeah it doesn't really fit the theme, but I don't think that matters too much since the game you made was fun.

The stage with invisibility could definitely be clarified more. From what I can tell, you lose when you run out of bullets. But when you introduce the stage with the invisibility, you only give the player one bullet, which leads them to believe that shooting enemies from stealth causes them to lose. This confused me for a while, until I looked down and saw that there was only one bullet in my inventory. Also I couldn't figure out that level, since the bullets don't seem to pierce enemies, and you can only kill one enemy with the door and another with a bullet.

Overall pretty sick game, I had a fun time with it! The level design was awesome, really made me feel like a badass spy

Edit: I noticed the solution to the level in the comments, and yeah it definitely needs to be explained more. The tutorial specifically says right click to kick down doors, not any object. Also the levels always end whenever all the enemies die so I didn't expect the intended solution to be what it was at all

Developer

Yeah, that level really needs some re-designing lol. Thanks for the feedback though :)

Nice work, I kept getting caught at the stage where there is a window each side of the door. I tried going invisible but it didnt seem to work and I kept getting caught. Very satisfying to shoot the enemies though. It's made me want to create a FPS game in construct :) LOL
