The game idea is cool, visuals and specially that sqake sound is spot on. One funny thing i found in the game is: if duck gets too close to shark it will raise above the see level and after it can climb on top of island. I think its minor bug adding gravity or restricting duck movement in only 2 axis will solve this. that being said I very much enjoyed this bug too. Behold the almighty duck carpenter descended form the havens:
Thanks for the heads up. And yes I’ve struggled with wall jump, still looking for ways to improve its feel. Specially when player too close to wall, player immediately sticks to wall. Also jumping opposite the wall is still challenging. I try to look for a solution if don’t find anything I’ll change the mechanics from wall jump to wall climbing.
Thanks a lot for pointing this out. you’re right I’m not using any acceleration for player mechanics and your observation regarding jump is also spot on. I’ll start looking into these things. for this particular project I tried to come up with my own logic for the things, there’s still lot for me to learn. it’s not my first project but I’m still a beginner in game development with few months of self-thought experience.

Thank you for your feedback. what do you feel i should do to remove that robotic behavior? if its because of the character appearance then I think having some extra sprites will do the trick (for now all the animations are about 2-3 frames long) if anything else do let me know.
