I think this game has a very big perspective. I'll be waiting for the sequel

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words

The puzzles are interesting! I really like the idea of choosing your own exit which can kind of make it your own puzzle.

Wouldn't say no to having the timer so you get a few seconds grace to see the level and think before that score plummets though

Developer

Okay, I will work on the score algo in the next update lol. Thanks for checking out!

Really cool game. I wish there were more levels.

The puzzles were well paced, but, on level 5, I accidentally broke the game by making the ball fall into the portal vertically. I guess that's the unruly part.

Well done. ( ̄ー ̄)b

Developer

Thanks a lot for checking out. I do have a more levels planned, i did not implement them because what if i accidentally progress and we are asked to implement something that i had already implemented lol.

Yes the default physics engine of godot is bad, i should have used Rapier or something.

Great cannon game, the placeable end location gave it a bit of extra fun.

Developer

Thanks a lot for checking out!

This was great! addicting and fun. I beat the first level without even putting the door down. lol   I would love to see this made into something bigger!

Developer

Oh yes, i remember some of my friends did that and got totally confused why the level ended so fast. I forgot to fix that lol

Such a great job man! Well done! Very fun game

Developer

Thanks a lot!

I feel the design is well defined, and as I stated in another review for a different entry, I really enjoy when level-based games keep introducing new mechanics as the game goes on (like you did with portals!)

Great job :)

Thanks a lot for checking out the game!

Very clever idea ! Have a lot of fun (and a little frustration :) with puzzles!

Last level almost got me)

Developer

hey thanks for checking out my game! Glad you liked the idea. Will be great if you can share your insights on how to make the puzzles less frustrating. Thanks a lot !

Submitted

hah ) I don't have much insights, only some opinions )

1. Add a short dotted line to show the start of trajectory - this reduces some "trial and error" situations.

2. Make sure that colliders are consistent and bounce the ball like you predict it does on every point

3. Maybe reduce max speed of the ball - sometimes I lose, not knowing how (and sometimes win - it feels even worse :)

But this is just opinions! You know your game much better than me )

Thanks a lot for your suggestions!

This is a very polished game. Very challenging and i love how it incorporates the theme... It was short but very polished. I love the idea of puzzling but with a sling shot and portals! , makes it cool

Developer

Thanks a lot for checking out the game!

Very cool game. I like the blueprint- construction art style. The mechanics are creative. It feels great that many levels can have multiple solutions since you can choose where the door should be. Great job!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Was struggling initially with the art style, glad you liked it!

Love the mechanics, and the graphics. In particular, graphics has something special about it, like an actual art direction. The only bothersome thing is that I have to position the door on each restart, would be better if they stayed where you left them and relocation was optional. Level 7 was too much for my brain, sadly I had to resign there. But really great work, and game does have potential.

Developer

I can give hints always 😏. But I hope the sense of progression was fine and it did not become too difficult suddenly. Otherwise I might consider adding some easier levels in between. Was really unsure about the art. I am so happy you liked it! I will try to think of a way to position the door so that you dont need to drag it. May be save the last placed position and spawn the door there on restart. Thanks for the suggestion!

Level design/progression is good since it gives you some freedom to figure out the puzzles. Aiming is also well-done, I like how the ball speed depends on the click distance. Reminds me of some older Android games, I believe there are a lot of extra mechanics left to add if wanted.

Developer

Thanks for checking out my game! I really have a lot of mechanics planned and hoping to expand this game further even if i dont progress ahead in this jam!

The score / time moving really hurt my brains when I tried to calculate how to shoot. Also I apparently missed the balls velocity being tied to the mouse position, so I tried to spam the ball in totally stupid spots. The door being stationary probably could've opened up the game for another mechanic. Interesting concept and art style, could develop further into a full scale indie game.

Developer

oops! I will see if i can improve the ui! I will add the controls more clearly in description too! I do have plans to expand this game !

Submitted

Game is the good. I will eat that ball. (This is not a review I am just being goofy because the dev is a friend)

Was a fun game (completed all the levels) and the door placing game a bit more freedom when trying to find a solution, would suggest modifying where you can put the door as currently you can just put the door on top of the last star you'll collect making the best solution often just slapping it on top off a star.

Developer

Hey so the last star depends on the initial route you plan, but yes instead of being rigid i will try to design the levels in a way where there are multiple solutions depending on where you place the door. Although there are actually multiple solutions for some of the levels depending on door placement. My friends had found out some weird solutions to some levels lol. But that is not consistent across all levels true!

Hey, cool game, nice unique concept and good puzzle design! I beat the whole thing and it was not easy lol. I had the ball go into freakout mode a couple times, maybe you can add a max speed to the ball so it can never go out of control?

But regardless, I had fun. Nice work!
P.S. I loved the idea of choosing where to put the door. I think that's so cool. I say stick with this one!

Developer(+1)

Nice suggestion, I will have to figure out a max speed so that the gameplay is not ruined  but smooth but not too slow. Thanks for the suggestion!

Submitted(+1)

Yeah it can still be really fast but if it gets too fast it kinda glitches out. But yeah I hope you bust out some more levels, it was cool!

Submitted

Great game!
The click and drag wasnt always responsive at times, but otherwise the levels and the physics all worked wonderfully! Could easily be expanded into a bigger game!

Developer(+1)

Oh lol there is no drag, you click once the cursor follows and then you click again to fix the position. Let me clear that up in game descripiton.

Submitted

Oh LOL thats good to know, thanks

I absolutely love this concept!!!! I will come back when the voting beigns.

Developer

Thanks a lottt!!!
