This game has a clean and shiny quality to it that i really like. I like the character sprites a lot. Nice work on the object-trade puzzle aspect. Very creative!

The polish and level design here is great!  Excellent job as expected

The artwork is next level.  Music fits well.  Sound effects would be a welcome addition, if you continue this game.

Like others, I become stuck when trying to gather hay.  No matter how I threw it, I either wouldn't be able to get the hay or I couldn't get back down afterwards.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Sorry you got stuck, it's just pressing the down arrow when you're on an object that you can stand on . Though I didn't explicitly state that in the controls so that's on me.

I really dig the art, and the quests were creative. For some reason I had a hard time pressing space, kept pressing x instead, I would've appreciated the ability to jump with up arrow instead. Went into the cave first but then after a bit I managed to lock myself in in the hay house...

Developer

Thanks for playing. Sorry you got stuck there. I neglected to state in the instructions that you just need to press down to fall through objects that you can jump through.  Oh well, I hope you had fun with what you did play.

Ooh okay, I really thought I was stuck for real

Fantastic game!  Beautiful graphics with really fun animation.  Easy mechanics and clever puzzles.  Definitely one of my favorites.  So impressed with how much you were able to create during the jam.  I hope you get to continue this!

Saw this on someone's "goated" list and yup this is definitely top 3 and I don't even what other two games would be. Best cartoony game I played in a while.

Developer

Thank you so much 🙂

This game is great. I love the art style and overall it's very polished for a jam entry! I think my only complaint is that it was a bit easy, but that's kind of a personal preference thing. Great work on this it's one of my favs from the jam!

Developer

Thanks!

Amazing art and fun game. The platforming and instant respawn when you fail a jump feel good. I really like the part where you turn the horizontal bug into a vertical one. Great job.

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Very nice adventure game and cute art. Inside the buildings the background tiles could have been more distinct from the floor tiles to make it a bit clearer.

Thanks!

I don't disagree. I may have spent too much time drawing vines :)

Submitted

Excellent ! Clear and fun experience. Design is super cute, i want more !!

Developer

Thanks!

I'll see what I can do ;)

Very fun and cute game, very cool graphics, nice way of storytelling with all the icons!

Small points:

- For the house to the left of the start it was not clear instantly that you could walk through it maybe it would be better to not align the ground lowering with the start of the building then also the insect will walk that way.

- I did not understand how to pickup the vertical moving insects so I had to find a more creative way to get up there, haha, very cool that this is possible.

Thanks! I'm glad you had  fun.

The vertical bugs are "the same" bugs as the horizontal bugs (notice the back packs) and since the solution to every other problem is throwing things at other things..... :) (*edit: i hope that this didn't come across as snarky. I am truly grateful for everyone who takes the time to play and comment on my game - Simon)

I'm glad that you, and several other people, have found different ways to scale the wall. It's wild how much you have to account for when you do this sort of puzzle solving game but at the same time when someone finds a path that you hadn't thought of it kind of amazing :)

Submitted

Haha no worries, I think I tried throwing the horizontal bug at the bean sprout thingy, but it did not latch on. I tried picking up the vertical bugs in the cave but that did not work after I tried it a lot of times. Maybe next time add a "/" in the text balloon and show both orientation of bugs to make it super clear for people like me.

This is an issue I actually enjoyed, multiple ways to solve a puzzle is always fun. Maybe you can use this to your advantage 😇

I managed to get the flower and its a really good journey and well thought out. I think the mechanics are really great and I liked how you can pick up the creatures and throw them. On my first try I accidently trapped myself inside the building and had to restart but other than that it's perfect, definitely a top tier game this round

Developer

Thanks!

I'm glad you had fun. Sorry you got stuck.  What building was it?

Submitted

I initially trapped myself in the first building on the left, which contains hay. However, during another playthrough, I discovered that simply pressing down is all that I needed to do. I was going to take a screenshot of it, but I think this one is better

Beautiful art wraps this very polished platformer featuring a traditional fetch quest. I would had prefer a little faster movement as some areas are a little large (I went left first and had to backtrack). Also, in the vertical bugs section, it was difficult to see the red spikes at the bottom, maybe the camera could shift depending on the area. Great job overall!

Developer

Thanks! That's good idea.

Get out of here with your fantastic games and give the rest of us a chance! 😅

Developer

Sorry... I get excited and then get carried away. ;)

Thanks so much :)

Very beautiful game that was very well done. This is one of my favorites from this round. Good work, no notes.

What an adorably lovely game. I loved every second of playing this, so sweet and wholesome, and the puzzles were simple and easy to understand but still fun to complete. No notes, this was fantastic

Developer

Thank you! :D

And there is more and more and mooore! This is a complete mini game. I couldn't believe how many mechanics there were and the progression with getting closer to growing the flower just felt amazing! One of my favorite entries.

Developer

Thanks so much! :)

really fun but i couldnt finish it cause i accidentally softlocked myself here :L

Developer

Whoops! Sorry about that... I'm glad you had fun up until that point though :)

Submitted

Haha, this is funny

Submitted

I was addicted and completely zoned in, I needed to complete it! Amazing art, and music, and the progression...just five stars across the board.

Developer

Thank you!

Games like this really inspire me! There's a crazy level of polish on this for a 2 week game jam. The music, mechanics, and art style all blend in super nicely. The level design was really good. I like the order in which certain times/mechanics were introduced, and the hint system was great.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much 😀

I'm really glad you found the hints useful. I hadn't done a puzzle platformer like this before and was worried people would get stuck or have to do excessive back tracking.
