How does your game represent "Power"?
Violet has to climb to the top of a Electrical Tower to restore power to it, and different sections of it, along the way she discovers what caused the power to go out in the first place.

Voice acting was very cool too see! The cliffside setting was very beautiful and the art came together really well. I got lost pretty easy and the isometric platforming was hard to read at times, but really clean presentation overall!
I really liked the art style and the atmosphere. At first I thought it would be a walking simulator but the slow introduction of puzzle and enemy mechanics was really well handled. I was also worried about the movement because of the isometric camera angle but it was very intuitive and I never accidentally fell off the platforms
The vibes are great and the ghosts are awesome and spooky. I love the levels; when I'm panicking and trying to find the way to go and hoping it's right, and then it all works out, that's nice. But I couldn't get past the level with the two gates in a row. There were just too many ghosts, and every way I tried to double back and juke them didn't work. I just watched the vod linked below to see if there was a trick I didn't get, and the ghosts appeared to be moving way faster on my computer, making the level impossible. I wonder if your ghost movement is dependent on frame rate or something.
yesss! unfortunately they are frame rate dependent :( i have a setup for them to not be framerate dependent and everything, and then i just got so carried away in the game dev that i literally forgot to implement it, and only remembered AFTER i submitted it and the submissions closed. Good catch though, but eh. the perils of game jam games, stuff gets forgotten about unfortunately.
Great atmosphere. I loved the storytelling through the voice records.
Here's a vod of me playing your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2372490353?t=00h14m39s
I like the trees a lot too! I felt the Half Life and suffered Full Life Consequences. I think I was killed by everything that can kill you at least once. Ah!
Literally part of our plan for a more fleshed out full version was like "Half life meets stranger things" but in the vibe of like, someone deeply underqualified is suddenly put in a position where they have to save the world! So I am glad you mentioned half life! good to know a game jam version of the game gave off those vibes!
I really liked the artstyle, the handrawn looking trees were awesome! Felt like i was actually high up
absolutely juking them! I originally wanted to add some that were harder to avoid! (I wanted to do a green eyed one that like,,, teleported 20feet in front of you every few seconds, just to mean you could SUDDENLY have a ghost directly in front of you) but there was no time to make that one not SUPER OP. and just ran out of time in general! Thank you so much for playing the game though!
Those creatures look really cool and move in really interesting ways. Voice acting is always nice to hear, too. Good stuff! You should try and embellish your game's page, might give you some more plays. It deserves it!
Somebody cooked in the level editor, good atmosphere. Character controller's a bit janky for some of these narrow ledges.
