How does your game represent "Power"?
I took the theme of Power in the direction of Soft Power a boss would have in a corporate settings. The game explores the mundane and almost trivial decisions a person in "Power" makes on a daily basis and how they have large real world affects. In this game you exercise your position of Power to progress the story while exploring some interesting characters and wacky scenarios. This game is mostly a Narrative so its not designed to punish the players decisions, it encourages you to explore. There is a LOT of different paths through the game, I don't think I have even personally seen them all. So make interesting choice and see some funny dialogue as a result!

And lastly thank you so much for hosting this jam. I have never made anything like this ever before. It was a massive amount of effort and I have a ton of pride in this game. Its been an absolute blast to work on, and I have already had a ton of amazing laughs with my friends play testing... Cheers and Love from Des Moines Iowa!

This was fun. The assets were really well designed and I really liked the writing for all the dialogue. It's really impressive the amount of work you put in!

Great game, the writing is really good and the art style really lends itself to the setting. Laughed quite a few times at unexpected moments. Nice work!

I watched this game played through a few times on bonejackal's stream, was cool to catch the behind-the-scenes commentary! Happy to see the visuals firsthand though, the shaders really help give it a nice, unique design reminiscent of first gen Pokemon or other Game Boy-era RPGs!

Silly story, nice and short game! Was entertained just watching it, entertained playing it A real BEEG YOSHI of a game!

I had to skip back to Wednesday though, I fear I softlocked the game by chatting to someone at the end of Tuesday as the game was fading out and I was allowed to walk around in cutscene and tried talking to someone and the game was a bit grumpy about that. :P

ahhh, i forgot to compare the aesthetic ti looking kind of like a shitty photocopy, and that it would make it super appropriate. it was awesome. was that intentional??

really funny and charming, i think the speed was tuned perfectly and it was a good silly time. >:3

every time i was presented with naming a character, i named them Carl. that was... fitting of me. honestly amazing game. i love the art style. the writing is really great.

I love hearing what people pick for names. I think its a really simple, but powerful mechanic to bringing the world to life. I had not considered anyone picking a name that already was "taken", I imagine that got very confusing. Thanks!

Ah, Samuel's son Bingus... smart lad, he made my profits go up enough to pay to win. Did not expect the twist, very clever and funny. Great mechanics and character writing, love this one. I think the player should move just a bit quicker but that's my only real nitpick. Great job!

Honestly impressed you attempted to go so abstract with the theme, very cool interpretation. I was really enjoying the more menial tasks and conversations but the ending caught me very off guard lol. Very interesting game and great art style as well. Well done

I actually fired samuel before the "big moment", crazy how immoral i am. Very VERY great game, kinda crazy its made withing 10 days, just wow. Insane plot development, i love every character, i love the style, i love the story, i love the mechanics, i love carl OMG this is the best game i've tried.

Awesome! I thought that option was a really neat interaction. Glad some people actually went for it. Really glad you enjoyed it so much. Means a lot, especially coming from you. Your game is so dope and I loved the world building in it. Rae has special dialogue if you fired Samuel and then try and throw him a party, if I remember correctly. I tried to add in as many acknowledgements as possible to your decisions in game. The order of them can even influence each other.

i wanted to choose throwing samuel a party or choose him to give a speech, but my heart didn't allow me

I haven't even beaten it yet, but I gotta say DAMN YOU'RE THROWING THESE TOUGH DECISIONS AT ME DAY ONE AND I LOVE IT.

edit: I regret how I named boy.

lmao... I actually thought if there was any names that would make that specific line not work... and this did not cross my mind.

Leave it to me lmao

I beat it, I gotta say that ending was dark as hell. I wasn't expecting a beeg yoshi to come out of nowhere and kill everybody like that.

A surprisingly involved game with lots of funny dialogue. Feels like a game I could play ten times over and have a completely different experience. I wish Beeg Yoshi well in his stock trading ventures!

This was funny, structured in a way that made me FEEL like a corporate monkey. Bravo!

Simply genius. Seriously impressed that you made this on your own in the week :O. Absolutely loved (hated) that my actions had consequences during the week. This made me want to eat a creme brulée. Of course I could say that music would have been welcome but I a week is short haha. Cheers for the game and thanks!
