This is an absolute killer of a jam game! Did you make this by yourself!? Good gameplay, concept, on-theme, has good sound effects and music, nailing all that in a week is sick! Only real critique I could think up was that I found myself wanting to aim my punches with the cursor.

Really well polished game. I enjoyed the random upgrades a lot. It picks up a bit later but for the first whole half it feels kinda slow. The way charging up the fist lowers your speed is really clever, it adds some fun risk to trying to sock a whole group of guys. Definitely gets harder/more interesting when the enemies start firing projectiles and such. Really cute art also. Bummer about some of the lag issues on the web build, but I assume those aren't present on the downloadable version.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the mechanics and the art. I agree that the first area is a bit slow and kind of easy, getting a smooth difficulty curve was a big challenge, and quite a few people still found it too hard. Unfortunately, optimizing the web build was out of scope for the jam, but I'll be looking into that for the next one.
Excellent entry, loved everything about it. Seemed to have a few glitchy bits in terms of time slowdown, but very, very smooth overall. Awesome job.
Honestly, I think it was only in the tutorial area. The time slowdown felt really, really long. Like, unintentionally long. The actually gameplay in the core game was totally fine. I don't think it was performance, it felt like maybe an early value that you never went back and tweaked, but that's my random guess.
Nice game. Listening to elliot smith right now. Definitely gonna replay this one.
The aesthetic is fun and it has a nice game feel. The punches we hard to anticipate, in terms of how much a charge amount would slow down the swing. Random perks was a nice touch. Had fun, would play again!
Stunning sprite/animation work here! Lovely palette as well...
Game feels super juicy! The enemy & upgrade randomization keeps new runs fresh, but also kinda removes the ability to prepare for certain rooms. The main mechanic feel kinda clunky, but the gameplay is also simple enough that it works, although this perspective in games always gives me trouble when lining up my attacks lol (skill issue).
The one thing I absolutely do not like is having to PUNCH THOSE DANG CONES EVERY SINGLE RUN JUST TO START IT AHHHHHH. JUST LET ME KEEP PLAYING.
In conclusion, I dig it.
Stylish, delightful, but gosh dang if I'm not just downright BAD at this game!I really struggled with the sideways attacking coupled with the initially slow move speed. My FIST is powerful, but I don't FEEEEL powerful.
I liked the charging up fist mechanic, but I don't like only being able to attack sideways, idk maybe I just suck. But the music and art is great, this is really good!
Really satisfying attacks. It is so much fun to charge up your fist and just knock a pile of enemies away. The splash screen is also pure fire.
Looks awesome, punches are super satisfying! Gameplay wise, I think it's a bit slow (I'm a sucker for faster-paced rougelikes like Hades and Gungeon) with a couple of relatively small things that held it back for me like always having to break the cones at the beginning and having to chase down that last enemy every screen. Still, nothing beats sending all those enemies flying. My other thought was that I'd like to be able to aim downward, but the mind fist upgrade solved that for me. Overall, solid game!
This game is rad, especially the title screen. The game froze a bunch of times while playing (maybe has something to do with the particle effects) but still had a fun time regardless. This game has a really good sense of risk and reward. The weight of the Mega Fist was also really satisfying to throw around. Awesome job!
Cool Game! very polished, the risk-reward of charging your punch is very well thought out!
great game, the gameplay mechanic is simple yet fun and its very polished for a jam game. The pixel art is fantastic and there are a lot of fun upgrades too. Great work!
Beautiful art style, loved the feel of the gameplay, super satisfying!
Really solid game, really nice art. I love the vampire survivor like gameloop, but on a smaller scale! I was impressed by the variety the game has!
Great idea and super cool art! I think it has so much potential to be really entertaining with a little tweaking. Something like moving a bit faster or being able to punch in other directions may be some solutions.
