great concept and pretty cute. i suck so hard at this though lol. brain got no wrinkles on it.

Very cute puzzle game! First few minutes it was a bit too hard to figure what to do, but after that - it was quite fun and relatively easy. The main disadvantage, in my book, was that after you've understood it well - it wasn't that fun anymore, as the mechanics is pretty much simple and repetitive - you charge and change directions, and that's it. So the game kinda look way more complicated than it actually is... So I'd rather reduce the complexity of appearance, or make more variability.

That said - it was quite fun and enjoyable to learn and figure out! Great submission!

Thanks for playing! I'd recommend skipping around a bit if you're finding it too easy. A couple of the later levels introduce some mechanics that complicate the matter. But yes, the intent was to make something fairly simple once you understood the rules.

I am a sucker for hex based games. Hexagons are the bestagons! Learning curve was a little steep but it was worth it.

Developer

Thanks! Hexagons are the bestagons!

Great game! It did take me a few read throughs of the instructions to get it, but once I understood it the game was fun. The puzzles are deep and well thought out, and I like that there are multiple valid ways to solve the puzzle and one way using all of the pieces. Great work!

Developer

Thank you! I think we'll break the instructions up a bit, so there's not so much reading up front.

Great concept! I'm such a sucker for puzzle games and this one really kept my attention for a good few hours! It was fun understanding how everything worked as I went along. Also, I love you guys' splash screen, it's so well made :))

Developer(+1)

Wow! I'm glad you enjoyed it. As soon as the jam is over we'll be releasing a patch, so be sure to stay tuned :) I'll see if I can play your game on my work computer later today

Quite fun and original concept, but I really think the game would benefit from the ability to be able to perform every action with the mouse. Forcing you to use the both hands can become a bit tedious after a while in a slower/simpler game like this, like the ability to rotate tiles with the scroll wheel would be really nice.

Developer

Scroll wheel rotate is a great idea. Will add. Thank you for playing!

It was fun but took me a while to figure it out at first. also sometimes it wasnt super clear if I won or lost because the screens look similar but besides that it was great! fun times

I like this game, but I think it could benefit from a tutorial or a slow introduction to each of the hexes. Good concept.

Submitted(+1)

Once I had finished going through all the controls and felt like I was understanding all the hexes, I had forgotten that I could rotate them. This experience would definitely benefit from a slow rollout of the different hexes and their rules, just in the very beginning. Also I wish there was a way to quickly know where I left off, because I'm not going to complete all of these in one sitting. It looks like the stars you've achieved aren't necessarily showing up on the level, but do show up in the level complete screen?

All this to say, I really enjoyed this game and want it to be better. The puzzles are great. The polarity switcher is my beloved.

Developer

That's a good point. We could break the "tutorial" up a bit so people could get more familiar with the core mechanics. Glad you enjoyed! Also, yeah, we really want to improve the level select screen, to show progress and to just make it less crowded.

Neat puzzler!  It was a bit hard to understand the rules at first, but I picked it up eventually.

Developer

Thanks for playing! We're adding some more tutorial levels. Hopefully that should help!

Submitted(+1)

I couldn't really get a grasp of the rules, and by the fourth level I was at a total loss as to what I was supposed to do. Seems like people more familiar with this type of game had it figured out though, but for a smooth-brainer like myself a few tutorial levels would've really helped. Great art-style and use of the theme!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play and try it out anyway! We're definitely adding more tutorial levels

The visuals of this game are great. Placing hexagonal tiles really scratches an itch haha. Most people already pointed out what could be improved but I would love to play a polished version of this on my phone. Cheers!

Developer

Ooh, a phone version is an interesting idea. Thanks for playing!

This is a really polished and well put together game! I liked the music and the graphics were really well put together. I agree with some of the other players that some more feedback for the player would be good but otherwise a very solid submission!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and for playing! Music and graphics were both done by the same person on our team! We're very lucky to have them

I like the presentation. The only feedback that I can give is more feedback to the player. Perhaps even a visual aid to highlight the player on what they can click.

Developer

Thank you for playing! That seems to be the feedback we're getting most, so we'll get on that!

Nice work! Some parts of the UI were a bit confusing, having the ability to quit out of the game on the upper right of one of the dialogs caused me to exit unintentionally when I was trying to click to close the dialog or move on to the next part. I would have liked some more sounds, and some visual feedback, like buttons looking clicked or wiggling. Otherwise really nice job on a neat puzzle game that touches on the theme in a fun way.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Good ideas

Submitted(+1)

Such a well made game! I love the aesthetic and use of the theme. The puzzles require my preferred amount of brain power, a perfect middle ground between "solves itself" and "daunting/overwhelming". Good difficulty curve to the levels as they progress, and ways of naturally teaching new mechanics. Being able to move/remove placed tiles with the mouse would be nice, but overall that's a minor gripe, as the undo button seemed to work well. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yes, we will definitely improve the placement UI after the Jam.  :)

Submitted(+2)

Very intresting and creative puzzle with a nice theme and presentation!

One big problem a had was that I couldn’t remove placed tiles without starting over the whole level which made things a bit frustrating. I gladly be back to beat the rest of the levels once you fix that tough!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! There is an "Undo" button that should allow you to remove placed tiles without clearing the whole board, but we plan on improving the UX after the jam :)

Submitted(+2)

Oh wow, I overlooked the undo button all togheter and just tried to press “crtl+z”. xD Yeah I think having the option to replace tiles would be great, looking foward to your update!

Developer(+2)

We'll add ctrl+z as an undo shortcut as well!

Some of the levels are a bit difficult, however once you "Power" through them it leaves you with a nice sense of satisfaction.
