Great boss fights! Since they had interesting patterns I want to detail a bit more what I liked and disliked in each.

1) Frog : I liked how the jump makes you bounce upwards if you don't jump, which seems not to matter until the frog starts chaining jumps. The tongue and vomit attacks had very similar telegraphies, and it was hard to see which one would come out during the fight because the frog's designs is so "simple". It seemed unfair to me because these attacks need to be evaded in different ways usually although I get the point to design it this way, the telegraphy just needs to be clearer. Also might be me but I took a number of hits just getting close to the frog cause the sword's hitbox seemed small and the frog's hitbox didn't seem as big.

2)Eagle : this one was a bit less fun because of the character controls and the time it took. Compared to the first boss where you never feel like you're waiting, this one feels more tedious and less hard, it's simply annoying to die close to the end and have to redo it whole... I would have loved it if the frog's dps was slightly higher. The attacks worked well.

3)Dragon : this felt like the easiest of the 3 bosses to me, but might be just cause I got used to the game. I liked the claws and the basic flame breath, and I didn't like when he starts attacking from the side of the screen all the time and I need to wait again and again.

Also it may be just me but I feel your description of easy mode is a bit condescending, just a matter of phrasing (if you want your game to be challenging that much just take out the easy mode and be done with it).

Musics, art and artstyle were great.

Good job! Will come and play it more thoroughly, trying to get through a basic test run and at least give it a try! Trying to get to everyone I can!

I like the way this one was designed, cool images and gameplay 4/5!

Great Game! very polished!

WOW! I'm very impressed with amount of polish and variety in gameplay! The sound and visuals meshed so well and really added to the vibe of the game. I enjoyed all three of the genres of gameplay for the different boss fights.  The UI and menu screens were very well done, however at first it was a little hard to tell when I was doing damage to the bosses health bar. Really great game!

I agree with what everyone is saying, but I will add this opinion: If it was just as it is, you have a great game. But in the context of the jam, I think the exchange mechanic, while implemented well, could be better. Maybe changing bodies with the boss multiple times during the fight? That is just my opinion.

I enjoyed playing your game! Great story, there was variety, and the fights were exciting. Thanks for the experience.

Wow this is the second game i rated 5/5 on everything in the jam. The art on this game is just fantastic. I really dig the 1-bit old black&white mac style artwork. It kinda reminded me of the old classic from 1990 "Immortal" with those faboulous 8-bit musics and all.

Other than the music the boss design is also top notch quality. You got the different attack patterns, phases and all that. Boss battles are a great deal of fun and very engaging.

I personally think that this is one of the games  which uses the theme of the jam in the best way. It is definitely brilliant. Like you didn't use it gameplay wise but you used it as a plot device for the story of the game. It was a great example of out of the box thinking.

Man i get jealous that  i cannot make games like these but i also learn a lot of things from them and they fire me up to make better games, to improve myself further.

I love every aspect of this game. Congrats to the team and good luck on your future projects.

PS: I also was working on a game where you fight against a series of dragons but that would be a 3D game. I later scrapped that idea to make a game which also fits the subject of Samurai Jam

Very good game! Everything about it is good: visuals, audio, gameplay, story, balancing! Very good job! Those poor souls! Imagine the bird having to live with the body of a frog!!

Really awesome. Loved how each fight had a different core moveset (this is a super cool but super high-effort interpretation of the theme).

I thought each boss was really fair. All the attack patterns seemed easy to read and meshed well with whatever your current moveset was. I liked the frog vs bird fight the most, but each fight was fun in its own way. One of my favorites, nice job!

This game looks so great - the frog level was especially eye-catching. Each level has its own control and mechanics, it was disappointing there were only three levels! Really well done.

The gameplay feels really good. The art is minimalist  and great fit for the game (loved the dragon). The music was a great choice and fits the general atmosphere. I enjoyed the concept a lot. Great Job!

One of the best visuals I've seen on the jam! Well done! :D 5/5

I love the concept of this game, very fun and polished, the portraits are incredible and the art is simple but effective, I just missed more depth in each boss.

I didnt expect each boss fight to be a diffrent genre so that was a good surprise. I think the graphic is pretty stylized. Over all, i had a good time with this game
