We interpret the theme of the game using a system of orbits that spin looking for alignments to battle the boss.

It's an interesting game. I think the alignment of the planets could have a better approach because after a while it gets repetitive. The atmosphere is good, it just needs more action, so to speak

Really fun

I especially liked the 3d, pixelated artstyle!

Great game with a really original take on the rotation theme! It’s a shame there’s only one boss, and it didn’t have much direct influence on the fight. It had attacks, sure, but since controlling two planets at once was tricky, I just focused on positioning for damage rather than dodging. Plus, Nullagyratus often missed on its own.

Still, the game was pretty fun and well-made. Nice job!

Developer

Thanks! You are right, at the beginning of the development Nullagyratus it was waaaay more punishing than what it is now. That made the game quite complex and aligning planets it's already a difficult task at the beggining. Maybe we simplified Nullagyratus attacks too much.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for playing!

I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of strategy possible in this game. It was a lot of fun trying to puzzle out how to efficiently sync the orbits... I ended putting the outer planet on maximum speed and focusing on controlling the inner planet and timing that way. Would love to see more boss concepts with this game's take on the jam theme. Well done!

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, we know that's the strategy most players use, but if they use it and it makes the game easier, that's fine! Glad you like the game! 🌻🖤

Incredible!! At first is hard to coordinate the planets but with some minutes it makes easier. Very good game!!

This is a super unique game and I really enjoyed playing it. Orbiting planets is such a great take on the theme and it is executed really well here. The game was really easy to understand as well. Aside from gameplay the games artwork, sound and general atmosphere were brilliant too. You should be really proud of yourselves!

One of the most interesting takes on the theme. Not today discount Remina, we have orbital velocity on our side.

Thanks! Glad to hear your feedback, it makes us happy! 🖤🌻

The game that, in my opinion, best captured the "spin" theme.

Wow, that means a lot to us! Thanks for playing and for your kind words 🌻:D

That was an interesting experience. I liked the tutorial as well, good introduction to the game, though perhaps it could have also teach you how to deal with boss attacks, because that's the only thing I didn't get right away.

But yeah, concept with 2 planets can be easily abused, for example I just set max speed for inner planet and then was just controlling outer planet speed to match with the inner one, so didn't need to switch orbits at all. Though yeah, after defeating the boss I didn't have too much of hp left, so if you would increase boss damage a bit more, you could get rid of this cheesy strat. 🙂

Thanks for the detailed feedback! 🌻❤️ That’s a great point about teaching boss mechanics. we’ll keep it in mind.  And haha, you found a cheese strat! Definitely something to tweak if we expand on this idea. Thanks for playing! :D
