How does your game fit the theme?
It's a game about the "calm" moment before a storm hits and you realize you really need to go grocery shopping before you get stuck indoors. Also you are a dinosaur.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
We made everything ourselves except for the music and some of the fonts. Everything we didn't create is credited in the description.

Cute game. The dino art was great and it was a fun concept to play with. I lost the first time because someone took all the chips, but got 818 points the second time.
818 is a great score! The feature we wanted to get in the most but couldn't because of time is knocking groceries out of other dinosaur's carts when you rammed them so you could try and steal stuff from other people if you were too late to get it from the shelf, just like real panic shoppers do haha...

That was simple fun! I love the fact that they were all dinosaurs.
Could use some clarity on the score system - apparently you lose points if you pick extra stuff? The world-end scenario made me think you need get as much stuff as you can before the other dinos get to it.
Thanks for playing! Yeah we were hoping to add a short tutorial before you got into the main game that would explain scoring but ran out of time. Definitely a weak point of the current state!

In all games that i played in this jam i can say this is the one that have more potential to be a full game
Absolutely adorable. ^-^ Really liked this one, and the music was a perfect choice. Good mechanics as well. The only issue was that it was hard to see some of the smaller food icons on the list, so I put it in full-screen. But strangely, when put into full-screen, it lagged the game. Possibly a browser issue, though.
Oh dang thanks for the heads up. We definitely were testing in full screen for that exact reason and didn't have any issues, sad to hear that there's lag in the browser build! Ideally we would have used a sprite sheet for all the food icons but we ran out of time to refactor things so they're loaded as separate PNGs which probably doesn't help haha...
final score -5700 haha, I guess it is because I bought everything, it was a fun game with a ton of items there was just a lot of items it took me a while to get all of them :D, well made game with good content and implementation of theme. also cutscene was very funny :D

I loved the game, I loved the dinosaurs fighting and rushing to buy. The graphics could be improved, but the fun factor and the game design are really really good. I also loved the spin on the theme!
I'm a programmer first and foremost but I've dabbled in pixel art for years and I find that means that I can make decent sprites but it takes me a long time haha...
The rest of my team had actually NEVER done pixel art before this project! I'm super proud of them and how much they improved in such a short time.

Funny game shopping with dinosaurs. It was hard to keep checking my list and hoping the product was still there haha, but I did it!!

At first I thought you mispelled "cretaceous" in your title but I now know it was intentional. Fun concept, and I saw some of their AIs fail in funny ways (kept bouncing off eachother, turning and hitting a wall, then turning and bouncing off eachother on loop) but they be stealing my groceries!
Programming the NPCs to be juuuust smart enough to be able to mostly get around but dumb enough to consistently get into traffic jams was what I spent the most time on and I'm super happy with how it turned out considering how much time I had to get it right. It would have been sooo much easier to make them just avoid each other entirely haha.
