How does your game fit the theme?
It is a horror game where you are doing tasks and everything is calm and then the storm will come after you do something wrong

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
No, I have listed all assets used in the credits

Jesus the jumpscares.

Submitted

I had to stop after the first jumpscare lol

Very impressive game especially for a game jam!

I am not that into horror games, and I genuinely was scared as hell playing this! This is not a problem of the game whatsoever, as it feels that I am playing something that wasn't produced in a single week. The graphics are very beautiful, and the combination of the sound and the atmosphere was... terrifying.. in a good way! For those who crave for this type of game, I am sure you will like!

Submitted

And I thought the key would be under the mat xD. Seriously, the game is good, with headphones on and impressive graphics, I enjoyed the pastime!

Submitted

great job! love these style of games, makes the building of tension was really well executed!

The jumpscare hit me hard :'D Well done :)

Submitted

Atmosphere is well crafted and even though the assets are mainly pre-made, you put them together well and gave it personality, great job! Audio design was also great.

Feedback:
- Mouse sense settings please :( at least I didn't find them. I am a high DPI boy and that made everything quite a bit harder.
- I had a bug the first time where I couldn't interact with anything, thought it was my fault but after a restart it worked. Overall some small performance issues but I really appreciated the graphics settings

Its a really fun horror with really good graphics and ambience. Its crazy what you made in 7 days. The only thing i wish was done better was the size of the project 2GB is a LOT for a jam game consider optimising it in the future lol.

8.5/10 :>

Great work with creating the scary atmosphere!

Love your game! Its so scary :O

Solid game! looks great and interesting list sytem!

im always impressed with the rare unreal game jam entry that is somehow able to build and render well within such a short jam time lol. the graphics were really nice but there were a lot of issues with the game design and audio. and the jumpscare was more painful than it was scary, it was just really loud and out of nowhere.  getting the rendering and efficiency stuff in such a short time is nice, but maybe consider thinking about some other aspects of the design as well. thanks for entering!

Good

Very confusing and boring, i kept dying for no apparent reason and didn´t find the rules, but i think it has a lot of potential.

Developer

I think it's clear from the monologue at the start that the rules list paper is on the table in the living room. Maybe give it a retry and then give me your feedback. Thanks for taking the time to play and comment tho!

Submitted

The opening sequence is pretty good. I liked the voice acting on the monologue. As far the actual game, the atmosphere is pretty good, but i found the gameplay to be a bit too punishing. There were so many rules on my first night I found my self just getting hit with jumpscares left and right without knowing why and before i even understood the layout of the house. I think if you started with fewer rules and  slowly introduced new rules 1 or 2 at a time over the course of the days it would not only  give more opportunity for the suspense to build and make the game a bit more forgiving when your learning the ropes.

It's not so hard to kill the player where he is, especially when you have  a week and pre-made assets. Outside the house not all assets/resources have properly loaded or it's just empty, but overall not the worst game in this jam.

Submitted

Even though the house is an asset, great job on the atmosphere! it fits the game really well :)

Submitted

This is actually a very nice game! Really liked the audio and the map was put together nicely

Submitted

2 GB asset flip GG its so over

Developer

No problems in using pre-made assets. Make sure to play it first and then comment by giving feedback!

Submitted

True. But you gotta use them correctly. The map design is good but the audio is a bit too loud.

Submitted

Oh, my God. You know what? This really is the best produced submission I've played so far, the scenes are so beautifully crafted and the story is compelling, it's just exquisite!
